The state of Hawaii claims that the "birth certificate" for Barack Obama in its files – presumably the document that was copied and distributed by the White House – remains confidential.
The image released April 27 by the White House was described by administration officials as "proof positive" of Obama's Hawaiian birth.
At that time, officials in Hawaii's health department and governor's office refused to provide confirmation to WND that the image released by the White House accurately represented the birth documentation in the state's custody.
Now, officials have refused to respond to a subpoena requesting the birth record, citing confidentiality...

“However, in a response dated yesterday, Hawaii Deputy Attorney General Jill T. Nagamine refused to respond, according to documents obtained by WND.
“These subpoenas would require disclosure of privileged or other protected matter, and there is no exception that applies to allow disclosure to you,” she told Taitz.
“Vital statistics records, such as birth certificates, are protected by strict confidentiality requirements under state law.”
She also raised the complaint that the subpoena was not “served upon my client in accordance with the requirements of Federal Rules of Civil Procedure.”
“Thus, it is our position that we have no duty to respond.”

If he released a copy of it to the public, doesn’t that change the game? Isn’t it now a public document?
It’s been really surprising seeing subpoenae considered ‘optional’, by Holder, by Hawaii; the list is surely incomplete. I’m not even going to ask if we have rule of law anymore, or even rule of lawyers.
Even if Barry Soetoro aka Barack Hussein Obama had been birthed in the Lincoln Bedroom of the White House Obama is NOT a NATURAL BORN CITIZEN.
Okay well send the police to go get it. After all that is what would happen to a citizen. Arrest anyone that refuses and charge them with refusing to obey the law.
The real reason they are doing this is because it does not exist. This is why they refuse to release. Once this is no longer debatable then some people in Hawaii are going to prison.

A copy was released to prove the truth of the matter (as claimed by Obama & Co.). So he’s waived any claim of confidentiality. Now the `best evidence’ rule applies.
Authorize the release of the original, Barry, since you’ve furiously battled any lawsuit in which a subpoena duces tecum could issue.
How does what an individual does change what a state is required to do or not do? Would I be able to request a copy of your birth certificate?

That’s because the last 2 released have been proven forgeries.
You may or may not be correct on that point, but it is moot, because no President is going to be deposed from office on such technical grounds.
So a ‘confidentality policy” trumps a Subpeona? I guess we will find out if it’s latin meaning is true. Subpeona means “under penalty”.

Why mock Trump (on this)? He’s the one whose additional pressure got the White House resident to release even the questionable long form birth certificate he did. Until then the resident was content telling everyone to pound sand.
How can they credibly allege confidentiality when 0bama himself has released a purported copy? The answer is that they can’t. If the media wasn’t complicit, Hawaii would never be able to get away with this.
