Why is there no outcry over the insult to 9/11 families, would be visitors, or to us average U.S. citizens over the NO TOILETS oversight at the soon to be opened Ground Zero Memorial?
Only the Australian media are telling us what really is going on. City Hall officials conceded that bathrooms were left out of the plans for the memorial, reveal staff writers for the News Queensland, on 28 May, 20ll.
N.Y. Mayor Michael Bloombergs spokesman Andrew Brent told the Aussie Press, Visitors will be provided with information to help plan their visit, including being advised that BATHROOMS WILL NOT BE ACCESSIBLE on the site!
This is simply unbelievable! A final snafu like this in the face of all of their other failures surrounding this hallowed ground is the final straw in the movable haystack of the incompetence of New York Citys liberal Democrats. The ongoing closed door meeting angst will never be revealed to us, but rest assured you will not be able to relieve yourselves no matter how long you have to wait to get inside.
By the way, these morons ran up a $1/2 BILLION tab for the WTC Memorial site. And these ignoramuses refuse to provide any porta-potties in the interim, even though they are expecting millions of visitors from across the globe to flock to lower Manhattan this September for the tenth anniversary ceremonies.
Not having one single public toilet, also, will prevent U.S. school children from having their field trips to this hallowed ground.
What kind of idiocy is this? blogged one man. But no toilets at Ground Zero are just one of the politicians long list of affronts.
the glass, developed by an American company for the first 20 floors, was MADE IN CHINA!....

I can’t think of any memorial that has it’s own restrooms. There are some nearby in the area witch I would assume there are in New York.
Memorials run by the NPS always have a toilet within 300 feet. Since this is going to be run by the city...it’s their decision. To be honest...if you put toilets there...you’d likely attract the homeless guys to the area.
You forgot homosexual hook up place.
that was #2
Think it over...
Really? I have never heard it called that before..
Perhaps Bloomberg expects every visitor to get an enema before they show up.
No crappers, eh?
So, the “fear” that some druggie, queer or other “undesirable” may abuse the crapper is sufficient to eliminate them.....huh?
Pi$$ poor “logic”. Stupidity, actually.
The obvious solution is to drop trou and dump wherever you please and let the city, which craps on us all, clean up the mess.
Rather than eliminate the druggies, queers and "undesirables", let everyone share the misery instead.
Just go to the conviently located Mosque nearby....the nice fellows even have handy wiping towels on their heads! LOL
They're all in Flushing Meadows.
Probably economic. I haven’t been there since 9/11, but are there restaurants nearby? Buy something and use their restrooms? I was in NYC one time at a restaurant waiting to buy tickets to a show. They made me sit in the back by the kitchen, kind of in the kitchen, because I wasn’t buying a meal.

That’s the Big Apple for you folks. If you need to go, you’re outta luck. Been like that in NYC for years.
As soon as one opens, a homeless person moves into each stall. And you're not allowed to remove them or the NYTimes will call you a name.
The only recourse is to remove all public restrooms. If you want to go the bathroom, you have to enter a bar and buy a beer.
Of course they could also use the New Orleans Mardi Gras solution. (Pee in the alley).
I thought they did propose a toilet. A real big one. I think they were gonna name it the ground zero mosque.
Nah, having worked in NYC years ago they’ll do what they always do-go in the subways. The New York City subway system is the biggest open toilet in the world. Night and day, 365 days a year the NYC subways smell of p!ss from one end to the other. In the summer, Holy Smokes, you can’t believe the smell!
You were, of course, being “sarcastic”.
