The stupid Palin woman
The PJ Tatler ^ | June 4, 2011 | Charlie Martin

Posted on 06/04/2011 12:50:34 PM PDT by 2ndDivisionVet

In this Paul Revere thing, we’ve got Palin, who probably made a verbal slip that turns out to be true, or possibly knew an obscure part of Revere’s memoirs of the event, but in the mean time is shaping the “national conversation” about most of the major political issues today, and doing it with a Facebook page and an apparently supernatural ability to manipulate the media to her advantage, now that she’s no longer being “handled” by “professionals”. Conclusion: what a dope.

In the other corner, we’ve got Obama’s 57 states thing, which was actually another plausible slip (I think he actually meant “47 states”) that was still in no way true. Conclusion: it’s just a slip.

I’ll remind you of Barry Goldwater, the thoughtless stupid ideologue who set a lot of the Conservative movement in motion;

Jerry Ford, the stupid clumsy oaf who was a football star, who graduated in the top 25 percent at Yale Law School while coaching football full time, and was known to be supremely athletic, continuing to ski well into old age;

and Ronald Reagan, the “mere actor” who was president of SAG, two-term Governor of California, two-term President of the United States, and who even liberal historian Doug (son of David) Brinkley now admits was a brilliant and well-read man.

And I’d suggest that anyone who thinks Sarah Palin is stupid should never, never ever, take the other side of a bar bet with her.

Nah, he meant the Organization of the Islamic Conference, which has 57 member states. He'd no doubt like to add a 58th, one with 50 substates.

“Mitchell repeated Paul Revere’s warning that 500 New England men were mustering in Lexington. He told of the alarm bells and signal guns, and the volley of musket-fire near the Green….Others also remembered with vivid clarity this electrifying instant when they halted on the road, and Paul Revere’s warning reached them through the mouth of this highly excited captor, Major Mitchell.”

This has been very interesting. She was clearly referring to that exact moment in time and it has great significance to us today.

The British troops (Democrats) are marching toward Lexington (2012 election) They hear warning shots (Obamacare town hall meetings) and then volley fire (2010 midterm elections), alarm bells ringing (Tea party rallies ). And then they are warned by Paul Revere (Sarah Palin) that the population (us) has been aroused and is prepared to oppose and defeat you.

That's the way I interpret it anyway.

And Palin is more of a Goldwater Republican than a Ronald Reagan Republican.

Though all 3 are from the Goldwater School:)

There’s a movie about her coming out this month, IIRC. The Undefeated.

I did not hear her actual comments, but I would not be at all surprised if she was warning them. “We are waiting”

Mark Levin, last night, went on a nice long point by point on all the genuinely stupid thing Obummer has said over the last couple years. He is the dumbest President America has ever had.

And yet, the media continues to try and convince everyone how brilliant he is.

Just like they try to snow people with the notion that Michelle Obama has some amazing fashion sense.

The good thing is that fewer and fewer people seem to be falling for that cr@p.

Good grief. There’s simply no excuse for 57 states, or “I don’t speak Austrian,” or thinking it’s still 2008.

And Navy Corpesman. This is why people are asking about the birth certificate. This guy either slept through grade school or he simply didn't go to school in the U.S.

Never underestimate the power of the media and how many stupid sheeple are controlled by it.

The Nazi propaganda machine was the fuel of the holocaust, and drug that dimmed the senses of the people to it.

WASHINGTON — Former first lady Barbara Bush doesn’t appear to think much of Sarah Palin’s White House aspirations, saying the former Alaska governor should stick to her home state.

In an interview with CNN’s Larry King scheduled for airing Monday, Mrs. Bush says she sat next to Palin once and “thought she was beautiful.”

The outspoken wife of former President George H.W. Bush says Palin, who is considering a presidential run in 2012, seems “very happy in Alaska” but then adds, “I hope she’ll stay there.”

Just google George Bush Palin for his views.

I’d be willing to bet a large amount of money that BO has no idea what the stripes on the flag stand for or how many there are. He probably doesn’t have a clue what the stars stand for either or he would never say there are 57 states with one more to go to. I learned this info about the flag, along with who made it etc. in the first grade in 1967 when we studied the flag. All American school children learned that back then. Where was BO when he was 6 years old in 1967— In a foreign country learning about the 57 Muslim states. That’s why American presidents need to have American parents that were born and raised here.

LOL - if you knew me and had read my posts on here over the years, you'd know that one thing I don't do is underestimate the power of the media.

I've been refuting a lot of their garbage regarding certain subjects of which I have had personal eyewitness knowledge for quite some time now.

And yes, there were FReepers who still chose to believe the media over what I reported. ;-)

I wish Levin would replace Hannity. I would love to see him go head to head with these ignorant liberals. I would love to see him on Chris Matthews.

Yes, that would be a vast improvement, IMO.

I can't stand to watch or listen to Hannity anymore.

I liked him a few years back, but now he just seems amateurish and not particularly well-informed.

Revere recounts in a 1789 letter maintained by the Massachusetts Historical Society.

http://www.masshist.org/database/img-viewer.php?item_id=99&img_step=1&tpc=&pid=&mode=transcript&tpc=&pid=#page1

(page 4)

“I observed a Wood at a Small distance, & made for that. When I got there, out Started Six officers, on Horse back, and orderd me to dismount;-one of them, who appeared to have the command, examined me, where I came from,& what my Name Was? I told him. it was Revere, he asked if it was Paul? I told him yes He asked me if I was an express? I answered in the afirmative. He demanded what time I left Boston? I told him; and aded, that their troops had catched aground in passing the River, and that There would be five hundred Americans there in a short time, for I had alarmed the Country all the way up. He imediately rode towards those who stoppd us, when all five of them came down upon a full gallop; one of them, whom I afterwards found to be Major Mitchel, of the 5th Regiment, Clapped his pistol to my head, called me by name, & told me he was going to ask me some questions, & if I did not give him true answers, he would blow my brains out. He then asked me similar questions to those above. He then orderd me to mount my Horse, after searching me for arms.He then orderd them to advance, & to lead me in front. When we got to the Road, they
turned down towards Lexington. When we had got about one Mile, the Major Rode up to the officer that was leading me, & told him to give me to the Sergeant. As soon as he took me, the Major orderd him, if I attempted to run, or any body insulted them, to blow my brains out. We rode till we got near Lexington Meeting-house, when the Militia fired a Voley of Guns, which appeared to alarm them very much.”

Additionally, as the Paul Revere Heritage Project notes

http://www.paul-revere-heritage.com/midnight-ride.html

“The Redcoats had set temporary roadblocks as a security measure and on their way to Concord they encountered British soldiers. Prescott managed to escape; Revere was captured and Dawes tried to run away but was arrested shortly thereafter. The British held Revere and interrogated him with a pistol on his chest. He was asked about the plans of the militia and where they kept their ammunition. When asked where the Patriots were hiding he told them the truth and replied that they had 500 militiamen in Concord protecting them and 1500 coming. As they rode towards Concord he was told that if he tried to escape he would be shot.”

Now that is the smartest idea I have heard since FOX began sliding backward.
