It's a sign of distress. Intended?

That ranks up there with the most tasteless things I’ve ever seen.

Why not go all out and offer a half a pack of smokes and offer to share a 40 of King Cobra too.

It shows the offer being good on September 11 and 12, 2002. Was this to honor those who died on 9-11?

That’s got to be a joke, right? Look at the dates. And locations - Spotsylvania? Massaponax? Aren’t those Civil War Locations?

What is the source of this ad? What reasons do you have to believe that it is real?

Good catch, but these, as well as Ferry Farm ( George Washington’s boyhood home! ) and Lake of the Woods, are all place names near Fredericksburg, VA . So if it’s a hoax, it’s very carefully crafted.
I would think it’s real, and intended as a sincere homage. I don’t think it’s any worse than all the other hoopla surrounding Memorial Day. Most times, except for the name of the holiday itself, no mention is made of its meaning ... so this is what they get!

I guess it’s what the store owner had to give but so braindead I can hardly process it.
