Why Mombasa?

Think 1961 and airport or passenger ship.

Nope on the air travel - there was a London to Nairobi flight, but Mombasa was regional only. I may not always like Wikipedia, but on history they're usually OK, and Mombasa's airport didn't do international flights until 1979.

As for passenger ships, do you have any idea how long that trip would have taken for Hawaii to Mombasa and back? And how expensive?

When you provide a VALID PHYSICAL DOCUMENT that can be forensically examined then we will rely on a person with expertise in that field. In the meantime we have to rely on the expert opinions of people who deal with ELECTRONIC DOCUMENTS, of which this appears to be a composite.

Inferring/asserting/accusing someone of being a 'truther' of the 911 conspiracy is a real insult at FR. Freepers know it, you know it. So why go to such lengths to insult posters who are seeking the truth regarding Barry the bassturd's natality? There appears to be an awful lot of anti-birther energy being expended by posters caliming to want the issue to just go away. Jim Robinson seems to think it is nutty, but you don't see him dribbling post after post aimed at ridiculing birthers, insulting freepers, and egnerally expending lots of energy which calls even more attention tot eh issue. You've got Corsi on Alex "conspiracy central" Jones radio claiming Trump was in it. Farah is claiming the end of Obama regime is at hand. People are claiming smiley faces on the birth certificate of all things are part of the conspiracy.

This stuff is utterly ridiculous and crazy nonsense should be called out at every opportunity whether you like it or not.

Beck, Levin, Coulter, Malkin, etc, etc, all consider this stuff utter bunk as most responsible conservatives do. Try pushing this stuff on their shows or sites and they will toss you off the air or hang up on you. Birther conspiracies deserve to be called out for the lunacy that they are.

Consider this scenario. You thought you owned a certain house. Someone else comes along and swears this house is not yours but his. He says he can prove it; he has the title. So you say show it to me. He emails you a picture of it.

Now this is where your family lives. Your daughter’s room is already painted her favorite color pink. Is this emailed picture good enough for you to uproot your whole family? Wouldn’t you rather put your hands on the paper?

Similarly, Obama has presented a digitized interpretation of an important document that is supposed to support his right to hold his position. It is an interpretation because by his own admission it has been copied and scanned.

Anyone dealing in documents for legal issues would not be able to rule out the possibility of tampering under this circumstance. And the burden of proof for the legitimacy of the document would be on the presenter of it, not on the one being asked to accept is as legit.

For this reason alone, this document is ***legitimately*** questionable, and no expert has to be available to question it. As anyone who has gone to get a driver’s license knows, bring the wrong documents, go back home without your driver’s license.

Obama has submitted a wrong document and claimed it to be legitimate. It is not by any stretch of the imagination. And there is no excuse for this.

He is the POTUS. He could have taken a team of experts and reporters and gone straight to HI and recorded the whole glorious moment of his precious document’s unveiling. Certainly, he has never shied away from drama! Why this time?

I question his intelligence, still greater his very SANITY, for submitting such an illegitimate document. Surely...

SURELY! He does understand the basics of proper process and procedure in dealing with official documentation????? He has that type of thing to do every day on the job.

Thanks! Actually I have been an anonymous lurker since 2004. I come to this site every day. While I would not say that I am a birther, I also won’t just blindly accept what has been released as genuine.

Someone made the comment that the fact that Obama has spent 2 million (or so) bucks to keep his documents secret is not damning evidence of anything in and of itself. I agree with that, but there are many more questions that have been left unanswered, such as the Executive Order he signed hiding all of his records. That seems to be a bit of an unprecedented move to me. Call me a conspiracy whackjob if you like, but I will maintain some skepticism until there is no longer a reason to be skeptical.

Also, I am fully aware and focused on the fact there there are high unemployment and gas prices. Call it a gift... I can focus on more than one issue at a time.

Obama Sr. was being sponsored by people like Harry Belafonte and Sidney Poiter behind the Foundation. Sooo, a plane trip would have been deductible and only cost the rich supporters maybe 2 cents on the dollar.

Harry Belafonte and Sidney Poitier contributed to the program for educational expenses. Are you suggesting that they (or others like them) would have made a separate contribution so they could send the pregnant wife of a student to Africa and back? Why would they do that, instead of sponsoring an additional student?

Ask Obama why he told Race Bannon Mombasa. Ask Grandma Sarah why she said Mombasa (IIRC). The question isn’t why, but whether Mombasa. And two very direct sources have mentioned Mombasa. Ask them. None of us here was responsible for making the decision of Mombasa; we only deal with what the evidence says.

That being said, one theory that was given was that Mombasa is a resort type place where visitors like to hang out, with a nice beach, etc. Ann was doing tourist type stuff there and the humidity brought on labor.

It’s a theory. That’s all we have because the people who could tell us won’t. And if what Corsi says is true, there was an investigation by the Kenyan government that found that Obama’s records were destroyed. What records would there be, if Obama was born in Hawaii?

I have read countless attempt to dismiss the 2 million dollar figure and find the attempts wanting. First, the FEC notations only reference Perkins & Coi. Ballard and Spahr and at least one othe firm enetered their appearance in the Berg case. If you included those firms it is at least e million. There are up to 70 cases.

Further, why don’t you read the motions in the berg case, compare those pleadings to a Perkins & Coi election FEC pleading and see for yourself what is the more involved form of practice.

Why did BHO send Perkins & Coi to Hawaii for three days to retrieve computer printout with a date stamp. That bill alone including air fare, hotel, meals and legal billing was $10,000.

Finally, if two million is wrong, a lie or grossly misrepresents the true amount, BHO is the ONLY person who can set the record straight.I believe the reason he doesn’t do rests with the fact that he has spent more than 2 million.

Can you answer me why the Chairman of the Democratic Party of Hawaii, Brian Schatz who is now the acting Lt. Governor in HI, failed to certify Obama in 2008 as meeting the constitutional requirements to hold office. As is required by state election law????

charter aircraft would probably cost around $400 in 1961 for Hawaii to Kenya. Ship much less.

Please provide a link or citation - that sounds incredibly low for a charter from Hawaii to Nairobi.

Air travel was more expensive in comparison back then.
