Almost nine months after a Missouri dairy was ordered to stop selling cheese made from raw milk, I share details of another hare-raising story from the Show-Me State: John Dollarhite and his wife Judy of tiny Nixa, Mo., have been told by the USDA that, by Monday, they must pay a fine exceeding $90,000. If they dont pay that fine, they could face additional fines of almost $4 million. Why? Because they sold more than $500 worth of bunnies $4,600 worth to be exact in a single calendar year.

This is pure insanity. I hope enough people wake up and realize what is going on.

There were a lot of people on FR defending those regulations not too long ago.

Whatever happened to America? You know, freedom, liberty, the home of the brave and all that stuff? We’re a fascist police state now. It surprises me how fast we let it all happen.

I remember seeing Michael Moore's movie "Roger and Me". It was a savage indictment of our heartless society, focusing on Flint Michigan and the damage done to that community by capitalism. At one point, Moor focuses on a poor woman who is so desperate to make ends meet that she has to raise and slaughter rabbits for meat. Oh! What a country! People reduced to raising rabbits just to survive!!
Of course, now, even that is illegal. I bet Moore is very much in favor of this turn of events.

Probably the animal rights activist..they don’t like to see Bugs Bunny being used as meat and his hide sold to make a fur coat.

I am not at all convinced that the US government “adds value.”.

I doubt a family selling rabbits for extra cash has $90,000 sitting around. So their only recourse will be to declare bankruptcy.
What will this really accomplish? I’m sure it will deter anyone else thinking of producing food here in America for a few extra dollars.
After all its safer to import our food from South America right.

People are going to get creative very soon if this type of sh*t is allowed to stand. For example, they will be selling an original copy of their kid's refrigerator art and throwing in a free rabbit.

I was wondering about that. In which case they are destroying this family over a few bunnies while people like Al Sharpton continues their corruption.

Continuing progress in control of the food supply. This administration hates the idea of anyone producing their own food. That would enable them to go off the grid and thus out of control of government.
