In addition to blowing out terrorist Osama bin Laden’s brains, the US Navy Seal team also made off with a stash of information on al-Qaeda’s operations. This information included potential plans for assassinating various U.S. government officials. Notably absent from this list of targets was current Vice-President Joe Biden.
While lower level al-Qaeda operatives were eager to take out any and all potential “enemies,” bin Laden reportedly nixed Biden as a target. “This pompous ass does more to discredit the credibility of the United States government than we could ever achieve through our own propaganda,” bin Laden argued. “Killing him would only give the Americans the opportunity to replace him with someone more competent.”
