Honestly, with this economy and his extended stays on the golf course, why would you even need to push this issue? There are plenty of other ways to beat him. His poll numbers have already started tanking again after "taking out" Bin Laden. Whatever bump he may have had, they didn't last long.

this isn’t the 1st wedge in the Constitution. I don’t believe the Constitution specifies government healthcare services as one of it’s responsibilities, and that one just got shoved down our throats about a year ago...not to mention the take over of banks and automobile companies....student loans, the advent of social security under fdr, etc. Our awesome Constitution has been bastardized for years.

The notion of a useless, outdated Constitution goes back to “progressive era” beginning in 1880. Those in favor of Constitutional government have had to fight Woodrow Wilson, FDR, and many others. The battle is at least 130 years old and will last until eternity.

Edwin Vieira, one of this nation's leading Constitutional scholars, warns that Obama's questionable eligibility, if left unresolved, could become precedent and justification for unraveling Constitutional authority in the future: If Obama turns out to be nothing more than an usurper who has fraudulently seized control of the Presidency, not only will the Constitution have been egregiously flouted, but also this whole country could be, likely will be, destroyed as a consequence. And if this country is even credibly threatened with destruction, every American will be harmed -- irretrievably, should the threat become actuality -- including those who voted or intend to vote for Obama, who are also part of We the People. Therefore, in this situation, any and every American must have "standing" to demand -- and must demand, both in judicial fora and in the fora of public opinion -- that Obama immediately and conclusively prove himself eligible for "the Office of President."

This is about more than just Barry Soetoro's place of birth, or his forged certificate. This is about a subversive effort to de-legitimize the entire constitution, starting with one clause, and then all the way to a marxist dictatorship. Very, very good. The only criticism I have is that I don't believe this is the only "wedge" the Left is using - but you're right in emphasizing the extreme importance the NBC wedge is to them, and what they intend to do with it, and how they've assigned their various forces specific memes. Well done - and welcome to FR.

The problem is that Obama hasn't been that forthcoming with his original long form. He keeps hiding it by producing documents with little information or that are digital fakes.
On the other hand, he maintains that his father was a British citizen, which bothers no one on Capital Hill. This in itself may be used as a precedent to destroy the NBC clause.

We’ll know we’re in real trouble when, on January 20, 2013, we hear, “I, Barry Soetoro, do solemnly swear that I will faithfully execute the United States, and that I will implement the viable portions of the Constitution of the United States. Allahu Akbar.”

What I find interesting about the Obama administration is the absense of an "Obama death list". By this time in the Clinton administration ol' Bill was about waist deep in "mysterious deaths". In Clinton's case the liberal media excused him by saying "any President, by virtue of his many connections, would statistically be associated with such deaths".
The fact that Pres. Soerto doesn't have his own list of mysterious deaths suggests two things.... 1) That Clinton's death list was *not* at all normal, 2) At least Barry isn't having his opposition knocked off (thank God for small blessings!)

I think he released the phoney long form birth certificate just to further discredit the “birthers” and due to the fact that there is no real one that exist. It was the best political thing he could do.
