As Newt Gingrich enters the presidential race the New York Times did an piece on it that had a particular interest in his wife, Calista. I know he's not a fan favorite, but his wife has my vote.
At 45, 22 years her husbands junior, Mrs. Gingrich always looks perfectly composed. She favors an almost retro look platinum hair teased and sprayed, bold-colored suits accessorized by a triple strand of pearls or eye-popping diamond jewelry. In college, friends say, she once signed up for an 8 a.m. bowling class and rolled a 200 wearing a pencil skirt.
Based on the way liberals negotiate budget cuts I know this is a dangerous question, but I can't tell...Is 200 more or less than the 37 President Bowlbama once rolled? It has to be the pencil skirt. Come to think of it, when Obama gave his speech announcing Osama bin Laden's death I don't remember seeing what was going on behind that podium.
It’s “Callista”.
Ain’t voting for him.
EVAH!
Mrs. Gingrich is a nice-looking woman, and maybe she’s a nice woman, too. (I didn’t realize she was my age ...). I hope they have a happy retirement together. I’m from the 80s, and Newt lost me when he caved as Speaker.
Now, that’s seamless! Great picture!
But, I don’t like Gingrich the RINO—never will.
I would go Alternative Party Conservative (APC) over him anyday, in a three way race.
are you kidding me? Callista may be polished etc etc but a beauty she ain’t!!
LOL
Newt will be a force no matter who likes it, and nobody beats him in a debate. He has always been a genius except for VERY FEW occasions. He may have a wife to match anybody in brains.
Well compared to you know who that trashes the WH now she is.
In his own mind for sure. But he wasn't smart enough to keep off of Nancy's couch or keep it zipped up during impeachment. He also isn't smart enough to realize that there is a zero percent chance that somebody with his portly double-chin looks, smarmy mannerism, and grating personality will ever be president.
I think it would be better of he and his former mistress got off the political stage.
He was my congressman and a great disappointment he proved to be. Trusted him once but learned my lesson. Never again.
A ‘genius’? Your kidding right Rita?? Good God, nobody here on Free Republic, (the DUmp maybe), are stupid enough to consider the Pelosi pal, Gingrich, a ‘genius’.
Is this the woman with whom Newt was having an affair while his wife was dying of cancer?

Good God, nobody here on Free Republic, (over 12 years of age) forgets Newt’s single handed brain mustered whiny, wobbly Republicans and re-took Congress in ‘94, land slide style, burying Pelosi and pals for another day. Rave on. Newt on a good day is quite capable of selling the shirt your wearing, back to you.
” Is this the woman with whom Newt was having an affair while his wife was dying of cancer? “ —————
Jackie Gingrich, Newt’s daughter, wrote an article this very week on the liberal media lie propagated in terms you also describe above. Her mother had already filed for divorce before the breast lump was discovered, but during her hospital recovery Newt took the daughters to see her. Jackie was there with them both. Didn’t happen as published over, and over and over. Democrats despise Newt.
I'd like to hear a debate between Newt and Alan Keyes.
Maybe. But I don't think his history shows an suitable balance of good days against "not good" days. He didn't sell the government shutdown under his watch, as good for freedom from federal interference.
The GOP-lead Congress of '94 is, in hindsight, an elevation of rhetoric over principle.

Turns out you’re right on that.
>> “ He didn’t sell the government shutdown under his watch, as good for freedom from federal interference. “
While that is true, the template was laid out for how to sell it today. I am not anyone’s supporter including Newt but I want very much to hear what he has to say, as I want to hear Trump taking it to Ubama. Caving to fear and hysteria we tend to bushwhack our most impacting voices habitually and always too soon. Now we’re back to crickits.
