As Newt Gingrich enters the presidential race the New York Times did an piece on it that had a particular interest in his wife, Calista. I know he's not a fan favorite, but his wife has my vote.
At 45, 22 years her husbands junior, Mrs. Gingrich always looks perfectly composed. She favors an almost retro look platinum hair teased and sprayed, bold-colored suits accessorized by a triple strand of pearls or eye-popping diamond jewelry. In college, friends say, she once signed up for an 8 a.m. bowling class and rolled a 200 wearing a pencil skirt.
Based on the way liberals negotiate budget cuts I know this is a dangerous question, but I can't tell...Is 200 more or less than the 37 President Bowlbama once rolled? It has to be the pencil skirt. Come to think of it, when Obama gave his speech announcing Osama bin Laden's death I don't remember seeing what was going on behind that podium.
Well-stated, Minn. Get lost, Newt.
Thanks. :-)
Glad you liked the pic. Doing it was seriously the only reason for the post.
That, and making fun of Obama’s bowling skills.
This post certainly wasn’t about me trying to shill for Newt...least of all at FR...I know how people feel about him here.
Keyes will lose any debate he has with anyone unless he gets over that bizarre and creepy mannerism he has of rolling his eyes heavenward and fluttering his eyelids when he thinks he’s made some unassailable point.
No Newts is good Newts.
At least when it comes to presidential politics. I have no prejudice against small amphibians per se.
No politician is going to cure human nature. They either appeal to it (common), or make a compelling case that freedom and risk are better than government promises.
I'll listen to what Newt has to say, but 1) I'm an insignificant minority; 2) in my mind, Newt's credibility sucks on account of his conduct in the Clinton shutdown; and 3) the fraction of the public that is willing to support Newt with a vote will not propel him to the presidency.
45? Wow. Not that she looks that old. It’s her style. Very old fashioned.
She might be a alien.
Damn...if I saw her coming down the sidewalk in my direction; I’d cross the street.
That pic in #28 makes her look a hell of a lot older than 45...
“Well compared to you know who that trashes the WH now she is.”
That is like comparing Platyrrhini monkeys to Catarrhini monkeys...they are still monkeys.
Callista is an attractive, polished, intelligent woman but she is not beautiful....of course...beauty is in the eye of the beholder but this beholder finds her lacking in the beauty department.
“Is this the woman with whom Newt was having an affair while his wife was dying of cancer?”
No...this is the woman he was having an affair with when he was married to the woman he was having an affair with when he was married to the woman who was diagnosed with cancer.
She wasn't dying of cancer. What he did was bad enough without exaggerating or stretching the truth.
And if she can’t, Newt’s got two more wives in the wings who are willing to give it a try.
I was wrong. There IS someone stupid enough here on FR to support this immoral, rino, ‘global warming’ supporter, gingrich. General Eisenhower, (you might be a bit to young to remember his 2 terms), was my favorite. Now there was a leader! None of this gutless liberal butt kissing garbage you get with/from mitt, mccain and your faithful ‘husband of the year’, gingrich, from General Eisenhower.
>> “ None of this gutless liberal butt kissing garbage you get with/from mitt, mccain and your faithful husband of the year, gingrich, from General Eisenhower. “ ....
Look, toots, Obama is as loyal as a church to Michelle, so how’s that workin’ for ya’?
On policy Newt has not historically served in office as a RINO. Now out of office, what he has to say going forward we will soon know, but meanwhile I want to hear. Newt can play UBAMA’s game of mustering the base without exploding the Independents, as UBAMA musters his base without exploding the Latino vote, to make up his losses with Independents.
But your dedicated whining and bushwhacking conservative voices early on before they barely get started serves exactly what purpose?? Nevermind, I know, Eisenhower... yada, yada.
