Here’s an opportunity to relive your high-school poetry classes.
First Lady Michelle Obama has scheduled a poetry evening for Wednesday, and she’s invited several poets, including a successful Chicago poet and rapper, Lonnie Rashid Lynn, Jr., AKA “Common.” However, Lynn is quite controversial, in part because his poetry includes threats to shoot police and at least one passage calling for the “burn[ing]” of then-President George W. Bush.

Common (sense) was one if my favorite rappers before Mos Def, Kanye, and all the other losers got together and formed a PAC.
Also, Common took a ton of flak for a pro-life rhyme he wrote, and also for another cut he wrote taking gangsta rappers to task, in possibly his most famous track to date.
Says much about the Obamas that they would want to promote this no-class, insulting, filth.

I am sick of rappers thinking they are an art form or something. Speaking and talking is a basic ability, not an art.
So Hussein coming to Tucson to talk down to us (and kick off his campaign), and the leftists setting up a ridiculous “University of Civility” at the U of A meant nothing? /rhetorical

Not to mention that in the beginning, they were stealing music. As it grew in popularity, so did the number of lawsuits for “ sampling” without compensation or permission.
