His ears superficially look different from the lighting.
I’ve been looking carefully at his ears for some time now because ear shapes are sometimes passed from father to son. As to the differing ears and disappearing mole; photos are often reversed so you have to check out both sides of his face first, and then there is certainly the possibility of a double being used. (FDR and Sir Winston Churchill both used doubles.)
I don’t have pictures of either Obama Sr. or FMDavis; but their ears don’t seem to come close to what Obama II’s ears look like. Probably has his mother’s ears, face shape and long jawline. Oddly enough, he doesn’t have her dimpled chin which is supposed to be a dominant genetic trait.
As to the scars, I think he survived a murder attempt, probably in Pakistan. He and Chandoo were, um, “close”. So, wouldn’t surprise me in the least if there was an attempt to kill both while there. Maybe close-up photos of Chandoo might show similiar scars.

On the other hand, I wonder about this one...
To try to hide this would make sense because often children with these problems end up with some neurologic damage, although many also turn out just fine.
However, even the question about this possibility could have been a political disaster for anyone seeking to be POTUS.
It could explain the secrecy around the birth and medical records.
Again, this is speculation based on the assumption that the shadows on the photo really represent something. If they are real, then I think this is the most likely explanation.
Just to clarify my speculation, if he had hydrocephalus as an infant, often no burr hole needs to be drilled because the fontanelles are not yet closed. Usually, burr holes only need to be drilled after that happens which would make it a later occurrence. Again, just my speculation.

Now that I looked a little closely at the pictures, I think I can make out the valve that can be pumped with finger pressure if the line plugs. This could really be ironic because a couple of years ago when he appeared on Leno, he made some jokes about hydrocephalus.

Could be. I’ve also seen them between the scalp and the skull. That’s what I thought I saw in the previous pictures.
If you look at the pictures in posts 18 and 32, and follow the line back up to the scalp as far as you can, there is a small circular area showing about the size of a dime. That could be a reservoir for cerebrospinal fluid. Perhaps it is less visible in other pictures because his hair is longer but it appears to be a consistent finding when his hair is closely cropped. It would not surprise me to find out he had been shunted. Imagine if that had happened early in life and contrast that with his abortion views. Or think about the implications for decisions on life prolonging CNS diseases in a president advocating for health rationing.
