Here is an, as of yet, unconfirmed picture of the deceased Osama bin Laden. It is exactly how newspapers and our sources have described it: gruesome... I will give some space between the picture and words so that you do not accidentally see the picture if you do not want to.
It is exactly how CNN reported the picture would look like:
"Photos of OBLs body at a hanger after he was brought back to Afghanistan. This is the most recognizable with a clear picture of his face. The picture is gruesome because he has a massive open head wound across both eyes. It’s very bloody and gory."

Also, the picture reveals that most of the damage was done above the man in the picture's left eye. Further, the man looks precisely like bin Laden.

Gruesome is what those people that jumped out of the twin towers looked like after they hit the pavement.

I have seen similar wounds from a 5.56 and an FMJ round just tumbles and does not open up like this wound shows. It would leave a 22 cal hole in and close to that on the way out.
The 7.62 Hollow point used by SF and snipers would easily be the most likely round used. It is certainly about twice as lethal as the 5.56 and the unanimous choice.
