One day soon we'll look back on April 27, 2011 as an important day. Right now liberals think we'll remember it as the day that Obama put the lie to the birthers, but they're wrong. I think we'll remember it as the day Obama's presidency died.
Right now, Obama and the left, along with their lapdogs in the MSM, think they've outsmarted the birthers, and that they've engaged in a brilliant game of political brinksmanship. They're thinking that the birthers have shown themselves to be the fruits and nuts of the right, and they made all this hubbub about what was, after all, nothing really. Just a document... like any other American birth certificate.
They're wrong. For two reasons...

Finally, both were/are tone deaf when it comes to legitimate questions about Obama and his integrity. They are such hardcore Obama defenders they appear to be unable to comprehend any misgiving about the man, no matter how well supported or explained those misgivings may be.

But lets be honest - the issue here is not that I may be a retread. You simply don’t like what I have to say and you are trying to get me banned. Why not give it a rest and ignore me? If the mods think I am a problem I am sure they will let me know.
Don’t you find it just a tad suspicious that the hospital he claims he was born in was called “Kauikeolani Children’s Hospital” until 1978? Look it up. If this is “original” why would it have the name from 1978?

I realize you’re on the run and can’t reply, but fwiw, here are my thoughts at this juncture.
The apologists are jumping on this ‘proof’ way too fast. We had legitimate questions in the beginning, and we still do.
It’s far too soon to conclude that the new COLB lays to rest every issue and concern. But now that it’s out there, at least some real examination of the issue can ensue. Within days, a week at most, some conclusions should emerge.
Meanwhile, I think this hurts Obama far more than it helps him. If it’s real, why did he toy around with us and with Lakin for so long? Why was he so stubborn and imperious?
If it’s fake...his real troubles begin.
So will Lakin now be released from prison? With the the “real” BC made public, can he get a new trial?
I am hoping Lakin has the solace of envisioning the kind of Swiftboat ads that will be made about him and Obama’s refusal to release a BC in a timely fashion. His career is shot, but barring unforeseen calamity, he will live to see the injustice perpetrated upon him redound to Obama’s political destruction.
In the primaries, no one took 0bama seriously, until it was too late.
No one knew anything about 0bama, so instead of properly vetting him, they just went along. That is how countries and civilizations fall.
Elsewhere on FR today, several posters have pointed out that the Nordyke twins' long-form BC (which has always been held up as the gold standard for an authentic Hawaiian long-form BC) uses the same hospital name. So no.
Not quite correct. Natural born requires that both parents either be natural born themselves, or be naturalized citizens at the time of the child's birth. My father was born in Italy, but was naturalized before I was born. I'm a natural born citizen.
I must admit that I was surprised to see “caucasian” on the Nordyke BC’s. Hawaiians, for whatever reason are obssessed with race, to the point where they have racial advantages for “native Hawaiians” being admitted to schools. In any other state this would never be tolerated. It would be considered racism. But the Hawaiians get a pass on this issue.
Congratulations, you have a pass.
Lakin is a nobody to America. Except for birthers, no one has a clue who he is. Notice, for example, that not a single Republican leader or candidate has even mentioned his name?
You just need to accept that being a birther is not a conservative litmus test.
That is why we have groups like the Swiftboaters. What the GOP pols are too timid to do, patriotic citizens WILL do. The MSM has successfully hidden Lakin’s story. The Lakin version of the Swiftboaters will not. Like it or not, the emotional impact of the ‘optics’ of this story will bury Obama politically. When good, solid, ordinary Americans watch a decorated officer/good family man being locked up in Leavenworth while Obama golfs—against a backdrop of inflation and unemployment running haywire, thanks directly to Obama’s policies—Obama will have to work hard to get 30% of the vote.
