President Obama releases long-form birth certificate

Again, this is a Certificate of Live Birth. It is NOT a long form Birth Certificate. And I think it needs to be gone over with a fine-tooth comb by a qualified document examiner. I would be willing to bet my next paycheck that the document is not genuine, but a forgery.

All the clerk “certifies” is what the applicant tells him occurred, not what anybody officially witnessed or registered

If this is the original; Obama is ineligible to be POTUS due to his father being born in a foreign country. He needs to step doiwn now.

Being adopted does not retroactively change your birth certificate.

A legal name change is a court proceeding.

You need to get up to speed. This is the long form certificate. Before there was the short form certification.

I thought one of (if not his main) reason for not releasing his LFBC was due to "embarrassing" information on it. I see nothing on this item that could be construed as "embarrassing" by any reasonable and prudent person.

This also does not explain away the years of stone-walling.

The only way for anyone to have any confidence in this issue at this point, is for an independant investigator, inspector general or similar investigation to resolve the issue (or not). Otherwise, Obama remains the asterisk-president.

Your father could be born in a foreign country. There is no problem with that most of the first Presidents were born here but their fathers were not. The constitution says that you need to be born here, not your father.

People who believe that the most likely scenario in 1962 was for an American woman to travel from Hawaii to Kenya and bear a child, and then somehow get a U.S. passport for that child and make it back to that little island with no one the wiser, will believe anything they want to.

I agree. I noticed the wording too. Also, note in blocks 6b and 7b the capital O is elevated, yet it is not raised in blocks 1c or 8. If you look closely in block 1 there appears to be a “white line or aura” under the names, as if they were photoshopped off another document. That being said, the document seems to be in great shape for it’s age!

But, I thought the parent(s) had to be US citizens. Not necessarily born here, but citizens. It appears Obama’s father was not, unless he had become a US citizen at some point prior to Obama’s birth.

Hawaii's racial attitudes were different than those of the rest of the United States. For one thing, nonwhites have always been a majority in that state, a reason some Southern senators were reluctant to grant Hawaii statehood. "Colored" or "Negro" were the general terms used in the early 1960s to designate African-Americans. However, the native Hawaiians and other Polynesians are dark-skinned; they might have been counted as "Negro" in certain states under Jim Crow laws. What would be useful would be to see the birth certificates where one or both parents are African-Americans or sub-Saharan native Africans from Hawaii to determine if the term "African" was used to describe their race.

If this document is a forgery, odds are that it is a very good one. Remember what happened to Dan Rather when he reported evidently forged documents on the younger President Bush's military service. Obama has many ties to the Chicago "Outfit", whose ability to forge is far better than that loser in Abilene, Texas, upon whom Rather relied.
