PalinTracker: Into the Breach!
Pajamas Media ^ | April 17, 2011 | Barbara Curtis

Palin heads to Wisconsin, ground zero of the budget battle, and gives a searing speech.

Did you see Palin’s Tea Party speech in Wisconsin Saturday? The woman was on fire!

On Congress:

We didn’t elect you just to rearrange the deck chairs on a sinking Titanic. We didn’t elect you just to stand back and watch Obama redistribute those deck chairs. What we need is for you to stand up GOP, and fight!

On the president:

The only future that Obama is trying to win is his re-election. He’s willing to mortgage your children’s future to ensure his own. And that’s not the audacity of hope, that’s cynicism. Piling more debt onto our children and our grandchildren is not courage! No, that’s cowardice.

Her battle cry made me realize what has been steadily sucking the oxygen out of the conservative movement since our big November win — a win that should have us still sallying forth in victory, but instead has left us demoralized and confused. We have no real leaders. Well, maybe we have a few real leaders, but right now we need an exceptional leader — we need Shakespeare’s Henry V, someone who not only has a plan, but has the courage and charisma to rally the forces he needs to see it through. And if you aren’t familiar already, go no further until you watch Kenneth Branagh’s St. Crispin’s Day speech.

What we heard in Wisconsin came closer by miles to Agincourt than anything yet heard from the lukewarm Establishment Republicans. Palin is a leader who can energize the conservative base.

What conservative wants to follow the electoral dictates of the media pundits, whether liberal or conservative? Who wants to listen any more to Romney or Huckleboy? Boring. Uninspiring. And you just know in your heart that once they got to Washington, they’d pull a Boehner on us — backing down at just the critical moment when a battle is what’s needed. They care too much whether people like them. They just don’t have the fire.

Seeing Palin take the fight to Obama recharged my batteries, gave me hope, made me ready for more. This is not the time to give up or slow down, despite the backpedaling of House leadership when it came time to stand up to an oppressive and duplicitous president. How hard it was for those of us in the ranks to see our opportunity to stand firm against Obamanomics evaporate because Boehner and Co. decided the Regime Machine would say bad things about them on the playground in the newspapers.

It’s a sad sight to behold: cringing men, afraid to stand up for what’s right. So what if their jobs are at stake? So what if people don’t like them? (There’s a phobia her cringing colleagues could take a lesson from Palin on.)

Convictions matter most.

Conservative Americans won the last election fair and square, except for the Senate, which we’ll take next time. And what may be even more important – witness Wisconsin – conservatives swept in majority governorships and statehouses. We are the majority.

There is no reason, no excuse for backing down.

I had high hopes for Boehner. Now he depresses me. We need a man to speak up, to stand up and deliver what we worked hard to lay the groundwork for. It’s as if after winning the battle, the troops saw their older leaders wave the white flag. We need someone, as Jan Brewer said, to man up.

We should rally around a woman who has proven herself able to rise above the insults, slander, and bullying, a woman who has stayed consistently on message and whose values are the same as ours. A woman who has the courage and charisma to rally the troops to go through the fire with her.

I never thought until I saw her speech yesterday that she could win. As PJM’s PalinTracker, I review hundreds of articles, columns, and video clips each month — mostly slander and unspeakable garbage. Just as you would never expect a victim dragged by a rope on the back of a pickup truck to survive, no matter how much I admired her, I was doubtful whether Palin — or any human being — could ever recover from the Propaganda Press’s misogynist drumbeat and lethal lies, not to mention the constant demeaning by RINO men.

But with yesterday’s speech, and with the lack of male leadership in the Republican Party, I’m ready to become a believer again.

After all, it was women who carried the Tea Party — women coming out of the conservative closet, organizing events, confronting the issues, and spreading the truth though blogs and social networks.

Now is the time to fight. Let’s support conservative women — all of whom have been subjected to the most vile hate speech we’ve heard in our lifetimes, and yet who’ve stood up and spoken the truth clearly and fearlessly.

We need to support, protect, and pray for these women, and raise hell with Republican men who are so eager to dismiss them: Rove and Gingrich and the sad cast of Tired Old Republican men who coulda-woulda-shoulda. In the end those self-important, self-appointed party bosses have all compromised politically and personally. And they’ve done nothing to save our country — even rhetorically — but sit on their ever-fatter behinds, doing talk shows and making believe they still have importance in the grand scheme of things.

They’ve had their chance. Now it’s the up-and-coming women and minorities (Allen West, Herman Cain) who will lead the way when it comes to conservative values and restoration of our country to the exceptionalism and pride it always deserved.

But it’s up to us to support them by once again doing our research, knowing the issues, using social networks, and seizing every opportunity we can to refute the mainstream lies. Time to stop being “moderate” and compliant with the Lamestream Media’s demands. We are now the counter-culture. We are now the hope and change.

I want her to go on the talk show circuit, so I can meet her and find out how she fits 62 hours into a day...

Cheers!

Mitt Wrongny, Mike Huckleboy, Tim the Paltry, Donald Chump, all of them combined don't have the leadership, conservative vigor, or ability to motivate the base that Palin has in her little finger.

She is so clearly head and shoulders above the rest it's almost unfair. That includes O'Bunghole.

Trump is going to act like a political magnet. He will draw the conservatives and independents onto his band wagon. As he does, he will become very loud and outrageous. Those who went with him will be painted by association as very extreme. They will paint the Republicans as very extreme. He may take everyone right up to the convention and cause the other candidates to spend money they will need for the general election.

If any of them do overcome Trump, they will be stigmatized by Trump’s association with the Republican Party. We will have big problems if Trump goes third party after a failure to win the nomination. When Trump said, “The concern is if I don’t win (the GOP primary) will I run as an independent, and I think the answer is probably yes.” It will insure a DemonRAT win just like Perot did in 1992. If he does win the nomination, will he be able to convince America he is to be trusted? I think not. The media will make sure of that. And, I suspect Trump will make sure of it too.

And who, may I ask will be the DemonRAT nominee? If the Hildebeast takes out Zer0 in the primaries (which I think is possible), then Trump’s behind-the-scenes dealings with her becomes even more apparent. You know for sure that Trump will lose it for the Hildebeast.

My ideal match up is Palin against the Hildebeast (for those who don’t know who I give the name Hildebeast, it’s Hillary Clinton). When Sarah said, “the GOP could learn from its resolve and “needs to learn how to fight like a girl.” Yes, it could (I say could, because this is conjecture at this point) indeed be a fight between the girls.

For those anti-socialist, the Hildebeast would be terrible in every way. For those who think about our foreign policy, she has proved her incompetence. She is also anti Israel. This is why Sarah met with Bibi Netanyaho last month. There is something afoot about our policy with Israel.

Does anyone know Trump’s position on Israel? The Hildebeasts? George Soros’? Sarah made reference to Israel in her Madison speech.

Good post. I notice you came on board at FR ten days after we did, and coincidentally on Mrs. RQSR’s birthday. We joined on mine.

Your post reflects considerable thought, and I/we believe you are right on track.

Thanks for your response.

The first time I saw Sarah addressing The GOP convention in 2008, I was convinced that Sarah possessed all the elements of a winning conservative leader. She has never disappointed me, and my support has never waned or weakened. She is who she said she is: a fighter who loves America and wants the best for her.

Let's see the candidates come forth and debate the issues, and we will see the process play out. If Sarah enters the race, she will put her best foot forward. May the best candidate win!

I believe Trump is bought and paid for by Soros for the purpose of diverting interest, and attention from the one person the Leftists, the Democrats, the Obamaticks, are truly afraid of competing with in 2012.

They are trying to cause Sarah Palin to take a stand on the birther business to then discredit her with more false claims of finding the records accurate, and that Obama was in fact born in Hawaii, which is what I believe Trump is bought, and paid to do.

Do you have any proof that Trump, Soros, and Obama are in cahoots? Do you at least have any evidence of your assertions? If you know so much about Trump being bought and paid for by Soros, was the $100,000 donation Trump made to Rush's charitable campaign on Friday from Soros's pocket?

Wow, you know so much about Trump’s nefarious intentions and his plot to destroy Sarah’s and The GOP’s chances. Do you have a crystal ball? My advice to you is to use your clairvoyance and buy a lottery ticket. If you have proof, or at least evidence, present it. Imagining all sorts of international conspiracies is what liberals do, not conservatives.

"Do you have any proof that Trump, Soros, and Obama are in cahoots?

It would a be good idea if we explored that question.

I am hitting the web right now.

I have no information about Trump’s connections with Soros. I only ask the question after noticing references about it in various Google searches. Can’t I ask the question?

The Clintons have been longtime friends of George Soros. In fact, when Chelsea was married, Bill and Hillary stayed in the home of home of Eric and Andrea Colombel. Andrea Colombel is the daughter of billionaire financier and longtime Clinton supporter George Soros. The site of the demolished Chicago Sun-Times building is having a 90 story tower being built by Trump. Investors will include Fortress Investment Group LLC Grove Capital LLP owned by George Soros. There is more . . .

Sure you can ask questions, but if there is only raw speculation behind the question, and the innuendo is potentially harmful, it's incumbent upon the questioner to take affirmative steps to find the answer, best he or she can.

As for being acquainted with someone, or having business dealings with them, it isn’t proof of anything nefarious. It certainly doesn’t mean he or she is bought and paid for by the individual in question. I think we need to stay away from that kind of speculation unless compelling proof surfaces. If Trump can get to the bottom of the birth certificate issue, and if he can put enough doubt in the minds of people so they start pressuring the media to do its job, I wouldn't treat Trump as an enemy.

You never want to ask a question you don’t already know the answer.
