Victoria’s Secret model, Miranda Kerr who gave birth to Flynn, her first child with husband Orlando Bloom, in January – explained in addition to sticking to an eating plan specially devised for blood type A, she also supplements her diet to ensure her body receives maximum nutrition.

That sums it up. There’s only so much we can do with diet and exercise. Accepting that is probably one of the keys to a happy life.

You are so right! Genetics. My grandmother died of colon cancer at age 83, my other grandmom died of stomach cancer at almost that age. I have had 3 colonoscopies and so far, at age 70, I am clear but I will not stop paying attention.

Very few people really need nutritional supplements, certainly not in the affluent west. The main problem we have is eating too much of everything, not not enough of a few things.

There are special circumstances that justify supplements - pregnancy, consciously heavily dieting, definitive medical advice and so on. Really though, most people quite unconsciously include all they need in their day to day eating habits (whatever they may be).
