Indeed they are; they lie like rugs!
You should hear mine when Hubby comes home and they insist that I haven’t fed them all day in spite of the empty treat bags and cat-food cans in the trash.

My dog used to pull a similar schtick with a kindly neighbor - she could make herself look emaciated if a dog biscuit was in the offing. No idea how she did that...
