NBC's Maceda: After Obama Speech, Gaddafi Likely 'Feeling A Lot Better'

Many here at home may have criticized President Obama's speech last night on Libya. But abroad, there was at least one man who dug PBO's remarks: Muammar Gaddafi . . .
That was the educated estimation of NBC's Jim Maceda, reporting from Libya, reporting on Morning Joe today. It was PBO's failure to call for regime change that would have buoyed Gaddafi, says Maceda. He reported that regime officials are acting much more "bellicose" and "defiant" in the wake of the president's speech.

If Gadaffi stays in power after what Obama did to him I'm afraid he may have brought the monster out in him.
If only we could have Obama come out in public and make a speech taking full responsibility and explaining that Americans did not support his stupid action.

I don't know why we are involved.
We seem to be supporting the rebels, and they seem to be al Qaeda. What are we thinking?
If we want to get rid of Gadaffi, we seem to be doing a rather poor job of it.
I suppose this could be a brilliant ploy to get al Qaeda and Gadaffi to weaken each other. But I don't see it.
And even if it is, we did this with Iraq and Iran in the 1980s and I don't think that succeeded.
I really don't know which end is up, but it seems pretty clear that Obama is handling this very poorly. Does he have any real strategy at all?

This speech was all about Obama....making some BIG decision.
NATAO is taking over.
John Bolton says: "Anyone who knows anything about NATO knows that it is just an extension of the US Military".
To: Sacajaweau
Except now NATO is delaying the takeover.
However NATO is primarily America anyway.

We seem to be supporting the rebels, and they seem to be al Qaeda. What are we thinking? "We" is the anti-American cabal that surrounds obama! "We" could not care less about the vital national interests of the United States and in fact, in as much as they are aware of such interests they stand opposed to them! Once you put where "we" are coming from in proper perspective it all seems abundantly clear. Doesn't it?

What a mess..............some in the administration, truly believe this is smart, obama, is using it to prove he is a hard ass.
In the end, we look foolish and we squander lives and American assets, it is brilliantly stupid.

it is brilliantly stupid. I think that's it. Obama wants to weaken us. He wants to alienate our allies. He wants our enemies to hate us more. He wants NATO emasculated. He wants the supporters of the Caliphate emboldened. He wants western civilization to fall.
Therefore, he has devised a very stupid strategy. It is brilliantly stupid.

Whoa! I am STUNNED! TRUTH on MSLSDNBC! Wow.
Maybe this report was why UN Amb Rice said on GMA this morning that arms for the rebels was NOT OFF the table. Now news is breaking that NATO will NOT take over complete control of this mess!
This is more evidence of the WH scrambling to try and cover obvious and potentially earth shaking errors that they make on a an almost daily basis.
Just imagine a cat, trapped in a cage with a stainless steel floor, desperately scratching the floor trying to cover its' latest pile of crap and you have the image of this WH at work.

Other than destroying this nation, no.

We will now bring on new Terrorism against America by Gaddafi

I turned it to MSNBC for post-speech wrap up...couldn’t believe the insanity of Lawrence O’Donnel and Rachel Maddow. They were saying how his words were brilliant and truthful and setting the right tone with clarity...something Bush could never do.

He reported that regime officials are acting much more "bellicose" and "defiant" in the wake of the president's speech. My question is...which regime was he referring to...Momo's or BHO's?
