Obama's Libya speech: Libya is no Iraq
The Politico ^ | March 28, 2011 | Glenn Thrush

President Barack Obama, addressing the American people directly for the first time since military operations began in Libya, offered no new details about how the U.S. commitment there will end, but pledged that Libya won’t be another Iraq.

“Regime change there took eight years, thousands of American and Iraqi lives and nearly a trillion dollars. That is not something we can afford to repeat in Libya,” Obama said.

Seeking to sway a country divided and confused by the unexpected air and naval mission against Libyan leader Muammar Qadhafi, Obama laid out a sweeping rationale for the action, arguing that it would have been “wrong” and strategically catastrophic to have allowed Qadhafi to massacre rebels and civilians.

“We knew that if we waited one more day, Benghazi, a city nearly the size of Charlotte, could suffer a massacre that would have reverberated across the region and stained the conscience of the world,” Obama said in a speech at the National Defense University in Washington....

Why not challenge Obama in front of his own supporters by commenting?

You will see lots of people like us also challenging him. The more the better. The good thin is... you can protest without even getting up out of that chair

" population control timebomb so deceptively called “Obamacare”, which supposes to have something to do with medical care of God only knows who, really. There is so much more, but that should be more than sufficient."

Something had to be done about the aging of the "baby boomber' generation and their "drain on the economy", and nothing's more effective to "solve" the "problem" than reducing their medical care and thereby shortening their "useless, economy-draining" lives. We baby boomers are still young and active enough to fight back with a vengeance against this diabolical plan called "Obamacare", the only question is 'will enough of us recognize it for what it is, (the shortening of our life span), and fight against it'? Respect for human life in America has diminished since the legalization of abortion in 1973, Obamacare is simply the logical progression of this tragic process.

Ironic, isn't it, that the great 'humanitarian' Obama is using American boys to fight for his muslim friends in Libya, while leaving we Americans back home here to fend for ourselves? When will the American people wake up to the fact the liberalism is a Trojan Horse that is destroying us all?

Not surprising. He sent a letter to Kapiolani Medical Center "declaring" it his birth hospital.

Obama 'birth hospital' hides White House letter

NEW YORK – Obama's alleged birth hospital has locked in a storage vault a letter President Obama purportedly wrote to the hospital on Jan. 24, 2009, declaring it his birthplace.

(snip)

In an email exchange with WND, Slom's office staff confirmed that Martha Smith, the hospital's chief operating officer, said a copy of the Obama letter is currently hung in the administrative section of the hospital, away from public view, while the original is stored for "safekeeping and preservation."

[[No, there was actually a PURPOSE for Iraq.]]\\

There is a ‘purpose’ to obama’;s little private war in libya too- to arm terrorists, and make sure these terrorists get control of the ogvernment there in order to usher in the Mahdi/caliphate in order to wipe out the infidel Jews and westerners

[[But not being able to afford something has never stopped Commander Zero.]]

what he REALLY means is that for every dolloar spent in libya, one less dollar goes toward reelecting obama and lining hte pockets of the grab-happy democrats before they get booted out of office into the gutters and sewers where they belong

“Regime change there took eight years, thousands of American and Iraqi lives and nearly a trillion dollars. That is not something we can afford to repeat in Libya,” Obama said.

Such an irritating quote because it's loaded with backhanded meaning in that typical Obama way. Does he really think anyone thinks this Libya situation is on par with Iraq? Of course not. Mostly he just saw an opportunity to use the phrase "a trillion dollars" in connection with Iraq. So he stands up his little strawman and goes for it.

So he spends $600 million in 6 days of his war in Libya

Those missles we are dropping like candy are $560k - 1.4 million EACH. That does not accout for the down plane and manpower. I heard it was over a BILLION dollars in less than 1 week.
