No wonder he left Fox News . . .
On Morning Joe, Major Garrett, formerly of Fox News, now with the National Journal, claimed to be "militantly non-partisan" . . . then proceeded to offer a passionate defense of Pres. Obama's Libya policy.
As an hors d'oeuvre during the discussion of the need for the media to acknowledge their leanings, Katrina vanden Heuvel risibly refused to admit that her Nation magazine is left-wing.

Major Garrett *is* militantly non-partisan. He’ll espouse whatever doctrines his employers want him to.
On Libya, Garrett is major Obama defender. Ping to Today show list.
Vanden Huevel was pretty quiet this morning. If it had been Bush bombing Libya she would have been enraged.
The Garrett statement is a bit surprising but he embarrassed himself in the same segment. On the other hand, the Nation editors lie about not being left-wing was not surprising because liberals lie...a lot.
So that’s what happened to him? Anyone know what the reasons were behind his termination with FOX?
He resigned stating the print journalism is his passion.
He resigned stating that print journalism is his passion.
Major was one of my favorite reporters with an ability for clearly explaining a complex issuer. However, when FOX assigned him to cover DumBO he must have drunk the cool-aid. Afterward, he never seem to find fault with ZerO.
Get with the program, Maj....the word "militantly" is out.......the operative words are now "kinetically non-partisan."
You are so yesterday.

Oh yes. I heard him on with Steve Malzberg. He marches to the left left left tune.
Blech.
BUMP!
Only Liberals think Fox News was ever conservative
If you think Fox News is conservative...you probably are posting on the wrong website
I have watched Major Garrett for a long time, and once thought of him as one of the best reporters on the air.
During the 08 election I watched him start turning to the darkside as his reports as began to parrot OB’s positions.
I remember when he was assigned to cover the Obama campaign prior to the 2008 election. He never reported on the campaign itself, he spouted Obama talking points - over and over. I thought he was suffering from Stockholm syndrome.
I think he may be one of those types that speaks to his audience’s proclivities and really has no core beliefs of his own.
In other words, he is a tower of jelly.
She did not lie. The Nation is not left-wing. They are a communist publication.
“Only Liberals think Fox News was ever conservative”
****
Fox is populist...not conservative. The media equivalent of NJ Gov. Chris Christie.
He went to the dark side!
Steve Malzberg has on Major Garrett every week. No one wants to hear him.
