Still more domestic terrorism has been revealed.

When Will They Ever Learn?

According to the  Citizen Times and as also noted in the  Daily Beast, a North Carolina man recently found guilty of minting and distributing “Liberty Dollars” was, as stated by  U.S. Attorney Anne Tompkins, a domestic terrorist. The conviction resulted from an investigation which began in 2005. As reported in the Citizen Times,

“Attempts to undermine the legitimate currency of this country are simply a unique form of domestic terrorism,” U.S. Attorney Anne Tompkins said. “While these forms of anti-government activities do not involve violence, they are every bit as insidious and represent a clear and present danger to the economic stability of this country.”
We are determined to meet these threats through infiltration, disruption and dismantling of organizations which seek to challenge the legitimacy of our democratic form of government,” Tompkins said.

This terrorist perp was brought to justice through efforts of multiple federal agencies; they began in 2005. Diligent work such as this on behalf of law-abiding citizens is a credit to federal law enforcement officials everywhere. We should all be very proud.

sarcasm doesn’t work in text.

It’s a crime yes; it was counterfeiting.

But the only reason they call it terrorism is so they can try and pin that tail on an American guy. Of course, when real terrorism occurs by muslims, they don’t want to call it such.

Also, terrorism is a tactic that tries to create terror, by creating loud, highly visible, destructive events.

That’s what it is.

Counterfeiting on the other hand, is counterfeiting.

Either you forgot the sarcasm notation, or you view the tyranny of our oppressive rulers and the “security” of our freedoms much differently than I do.

“Domestic terrorism” my a$$. The bloated, out of control Federal government, in bed with the Federal Reserve and other banks, and the rest of the globalist media/military/industrial complex: these are the real domestic terrorists, IMO, the real threat to our financial security and our fundamental liberties.

If the entire Federal government evaporated today, I think we’d all be just fine - perhaps even great. We would not just “muddle through” or “find our way forward” or “make adjustments” - I think we’d positively start to prosper again. I can’t think of a single use for any of these clowns anymore.

The word “terrorist” has ceased to have any meaning at all thanks to people like you and this idiot US Attorney.

In a short time the exercise of free speech will also be considered a form of terrorism especially if it goes against the Leftist establishment.

Counterfeiting can be terrorism, governments have done this in the past. During the American Revolution, the British counterfeited U.S. currency in such large amounts that the Continental currency soon became worthless. “Not worth a Continental” became a popular expression of the era. Minting coin is not a good way to do this.

he did not counterfeit any legal coinage

he did encourage the use of his coins, as they were silver, as a form of currency

i wonder if they will next go after GBeck and the gold sellers as terrorists since they have been encouraging people to shift from the monopoly money into something with intrinsic value

this could just be setting the stage

Use of the word “sarcasm” seemed redundant with the text of the post.

You left out the part about justifying the siezure of millions of dollars worth of precious metals (silver and gold).

Called a Spade a Spade is the American way, but legally stretching that saying violates the Rule of Law.

Doesn't matter according to the law.

US code, Title 18, Part I, Chapter 25, § 486

"Whoever, except as authorized by law, makes or utters or passes, or attempts to utter or pass, any coins of gold or silver or other metal, or alloys of metals, intended for use as current money, whether in the resemblance of coins of the United States or of foreign countries, or of original design, shall be fined under this title [1] or imprisoned not more than five years, or both."

And another true American patriot, sacrificing his life and fortune protesting the clearly unconstitutional, phony money scheme that our corrupted federal government has foisted on the American people, shot down by the ministers of our economic destruction.

The federal government and its agencies are committing the terrorist acts upon America. One after another...

True. But to call it “domestic terrorism” stretches that quaint phrase beyond recognition.

We are determined to meet these threats through infiltration, disruption and dismantling of organizations which seek to challenge the legitimacy of
our democratic form of government,” Tompkins said.

Article 4, Section 4 - The United States shall guarantee to every State in this Union
a Republican Form of Government, and shall protect each of them against Invasion; and on Application of the Legislature, or of the Executive (when the Legislature cannot be convened) against domestic Violence.

Well, America, here is the heart of the problem we face. We have a U.S. Attorney stating that our form of government is a democratic form of government in direct contradiction to what the U. S. Constitution says our form of government is supposed to be.
Until people like Anne Tompkins gain a true understanding of what the Founding Fathers established America will never be able to regain what they left for their prosperity.

"Definition of COUNTERFEIT 1: made in imitation of something else with intent to deceive"

How can anyone believe that this was an attempt to deceive?

Everthing now has to be terrorism unless of course it really is. Then we are not supposed to jump to conclusions.

What happened to good old American “counterfeiting?
