Palin vs. Obama: No, Nicole, Obama will not be as easy for Palin to "wax" as you think

This post is written in response to the piece written today by Nicole Coulter at conservatives4palin.com:

UNFINISHED BUSINESS: WHY GOVERNOR PALIN WILL MOP THE FLOOR WITH THE GOP, THEN WAX OBAMA

http://conservatives4palin.com/2011/03/unfinished-business-why-governor-palin-will-mop-the-floor-with-the-gop-then-wax-obama.html

Nicole, whenever I think of the possibility of "regime change", I watch a documentary or movie on Adolf Hitler, and I especially focus on his mesmerizing speeches and speaking ability, the impact his demagoguery had in seducing the masses and how his words and views came to eventually represent the Zeitgeist of the German nation.

And if anything, it has always brought home to me how difficult it is to topple any demagogue, including President Obama, through the electoral process, despite in modern terms the President is now facing declining job approval numbers and a majority of the people are now giving him thumbs down for his economic performance.

And lest we forget since the Civil War, Presidential winners or incumbents who took over in midstream and who ran for re-election boast about a 70% success rate. (Technically VP's run for re-election to office because they were part of the previous winning ticket although obviously it is not for the same post.)

And reinforcing Hitler's narrative and seduction behind the scenes was Joseph Goebbels' huge disinformation and propaganda machinery that was designed to keep out of German life any untoward or subversive idea and to instead sanitize any information or data in newspapers, magazines, pamphlets or radio (there was no TV at the time)before it reached the eyes and ears and consciousness of the German people. Nothing could be said or written that contradicted what the Fuehrer said, had written or espoused through the various laws and edicts that had been enacted in Germany since 1933. To say that the Nazi's propaganda machine was extremely effective in brainwashing the German people, keeping the majority of them in check and to keep them unaware of what was going on in the rest of the world would not be an exaggeration.

Obama's propaganda machine is no different from Goebbels in its goal of suppressing the truth from and brainwashing the American people. Many tributaries flow into its central headquarters, the Obama war room and the DNC and organizations tied to George Soros, before the information is gathered, propaganda is crafted and then sent out to the MSM for its quick dissemination. An argument could be made that Obama's propaganda machine is just as evil as the Nazi propaganda machine was but is perhaps because of advantages in technology and psychology a lot more insidious, destructive and deadly in that we now better understand how the brain functions and reacts when under pressure, processes and interprets information, and how subliminal advertising can be maximized to directly affect the thoughts or consciousness of an individual without him or her even knowing it is occurring at a specific point in time or or over a certain time period. As you would imagine, the tools of the propaganda trade are a hell of a lot more sophisticated than they would have been in the 1930's. And the Left knows every trick of the trade.

Yes, Germany under Adolf Hitler became a one-party state and so Hitler's ability to get his way and to ride roughshod over the German people was much easier politically than it would have been if he had been constrained by the American Constitution.

I would argue that it is unfortunately this key difference in the two regimes that has lulled many unsuspecting and naive Americans to sleep (many on our side) about the ability of Obama to implement his radical agenda and thus has facilitated a miasma of false complacency to creep into our resolve to defeat Obama in 2012.

These folks would look at you kind of strange if you even hinted that Obama resembled Hitler in any way, shape or form because they are more inclined to identify Hitler with the War Years (1939-1945) and the Holocaust and willy-nilly deem irrelevant what Hitler brought about domestically in Germany between 1933 and 1939 and the success he had in enacting a totalitarian program, which came to restrict or constrain every aspect of German life and managed at the same time to swallow up anyone who was opposed to its implementation and the efforts of the Nazis to suppress the freedom of the German people in their daily lives and activities.

So with these facts in mind let me offer a counter-argument to Nicole Coulter which appears to be not so rosy on the surface but by the same token I believe may help us both to achieve the same goal (a Sarah Palin presidency) although we may have taken different paths in reaching our destination.

Here are 10 things to consider:

1)Barack Obama may NOT be as good a speaker as Hitler was but by the same token his ability to mesmerize a certain segment of the American people should NOT be discounted by our side. Dick Morris, the esteemed pundit, former Democrat, after the midterm election wrote that he was surprised that the undecided voters broke to the Democrats rather than to the GOP. In his words, "I felt those who normally voted Democrat would stay home. They didn't. And Obama's last-minute campaigning had a lot to do with it."

2)Yes, the USA has its Constitution, but what if one of the 4 "conservative justices" dies in his sleep and Obama has the opportunity to replace him with a radical justice to tip the balance on the Supreme Court. The hallmarks of the Constitution to preserve the liberty and freedom of the American people are not worth the paper they are written on if there now sit on the SC five justices dedicated to imposing Marxism on America and to rule favorably for Obama in a close election to keep him in power for four more years.

Hitler threw out the German Constitution soon after he as elected Chancellor. Obama, using the method of stacking the SC could basically neutralize the Constitution. They both arrive at the same destination.

3) And even though Obama is currently stymied by the "current arrangement" on the SC, he as President still has immense power as the Chief Executive of the nation an its Commander-in-Chief. With that power he will do everything within its scope during the remainder of his term to ensure he has the best chance at being re-elected in 2012. And much of this will be done through his czars which as we all know did not have to go through the Senate confirmation process and are deemed outside the jurisdiction for Congressional scrutiny or oversight. And we know all of them are socialists/Marxists with ties to George Soros.

4) With Judge Vinson declaring the individual mandate unconstitutional and thus rendering Obamacare unenforceable according to his ruling, Obama and his minions have decided regardless to plow ahead with the implementation of Obamacare, thereby defying and flouting the Judge's ruling. This is simply breathtaking and imperious and show the lengths the Left is willing to go to to get its way and to make its "revolution" complete and permanent.

5)PROPAGANDA is a very powerful weapon. And imho, Obama's propaganda machine and its funnel the MSN make it just as powerful, seductive and mind-numbing as the one brought forward by Goebbels in 1930's Nazi Germany. And in 2012, Obama and the Left will have the upper hand by controlling most of the TV networks, cable, and public TV output. And we cannot forget that Hollywood and Obama have been "in bed with each other" since Obama's political ascendancy. I think an argument can be made that Obama's disinformation and propaganda machine is a much better product than Goebbels produced but the latter did have one distinct advantage, there were no competing outlets for the dissemination of news.

Obama and the Left definitely have more tools in the arsenal in which to infiltrate the homes and shape the families of America but because of competing interests (Fox News, right-wing blogsophere, right-wing talk radio etc)he knows his propaganda has to be a lot more sophisticated and targeted towards swing voters, moderates, and independents in key locales than what Goebbels did in blanketing the entire German nation with his propaganda. But because Obama's output has to be more finely-tuned don't think for a minute that it cannot be just as effective as Goebbels' product. At his disposal, Obama has the best and the brightest diabolical propagandists known to man. A billion dollar war chest will buy you that.

6)And we must not discount for a minute the weaker-than-expected opposition put up against Obama from the House (RINO's)as first envisioned by conservatives and the Tea Party movement. This Obama may be able to perform better than expected (propped up by the MSM)from the point of view of getting what he wants passed in Congress and he may be able to leverage this current configuration in Congress to a second term by making the argument that he needs a second term to advance his agenda because Congress now lacks resolve and is standing in his way of achieving everything he promised in the 2008 campaign. He may in fact may be able to ride the principle of "divided government" to a huge personal victory despite many of his colleagues in the Senate and the House not faring so well in 2012.

And this scenario would fall perfectly into line with the Jeb Bush scenario in which Obama is re-elected in 2012 because of the GOP establishment "throwing the election" to Obama with Bush loyalists working hard behind the scenes as well as in public to elect more Congressmen and Senators in 2012 so as to pave the way for an easier presidency for Jeb four years later.

7) Hitler did NOT have to fight another election after 1933, but is there any doubt that he would have won the next election and the next? Hitler was in a position to raise as much money as he needed, to intimidate the opposition (as he did in 1932-33) into surrendering any hope of beating him, and finally to rig the election, ACORN style, so the Nazis would always come out on top.

Obama, unlike Hitler will have to face the electorate again in 2012. But he will have a war chest of $1 billion, millions of thugs at his disposal to intimidate Americans to vote "for the Messiah" and finally perhaps the power of ACORN to "fix the election". And Obama could manage to pull off what we know Hitler was fully capable of doing if he had to.

8)And with Obama in control of government agencies, could he have the power to manipulate government data and statistics (eg unemployment rate) so that the unsuspecting public would view him more favorably and believe he is doing a better job with the economy than we know as conservatives is not the truth. Remember in close elections it only takes a small fraction of the public to swayed in certain battleground states to change the election outcome.

9) And could Obama pull the "wag the dog" scenario (declaring war, shutting down the internet in a feigned emergency) out of his proverbial hat during the 2012 fall campaign making it appear unwise for Americans to change horses in midstream? This is something Hitler could do with ease. How can we forget the Reichstag fire?

10)And finally lest we forget about the power of MSM pollsters to influence an election, can Obama convince enough Americans (especially WHITE voters) to go third party or not to vote (as in 2008) by demonizing Sarah Palin on a 24/7 basis once she throws her hat into the ring and pounding the theme to GOP primary voters and conservatives that she is NOT electable. Will Sarah Palin be able to overcome Obama's MSM propaganda machine and all the negativity surrounding her personal life and the doubts and skepticism surrounding her political credentials? And will she be able to LEGITIMIZE her worthiness to become President in such a hostile climate where one side controls the media lock, stock and barrel? John Ziegler and other pundits don't think she can. Obviously Palinistas think she can. Only time will tell.

And a final note: We must never forget that Obama will most certainly throw WHITE GUILT into the mix, the flip side of the German loss of honor due to the harsh provisions of the Treaty of Versailles. Both ideas feed on emotion and both ideas have the ability to arouse the population and to convince folks to do things or subscribe to ideas that are NOT personally in their self-interest to consider but nevertheless feel compelled to embrace because of the perceived need to resolve "historical wrongs". And Obama will make the case to Americans in 2012 that by electing him to a second term, they would be going a long way to rectifying a historical wrong and to wipe away the "guilt" of their white ancestors.

Moral of the story: Obama is NOT going to be as easy to "wax" as you think Nicole, but by the same token I would not be a Palinista if I did not believe that with the aid of providence that the Messiah could be taken down by Sarah Palin in 2012 in the "heavyweight bout of the century."

Are you serious? Even with his “propaganda machine”, a paper sack of dad fish could beat the pants of the man right now.

Yea, I am serious.

Never underestimate the power of a demagogue to resurrect his fortunes.

In politics complacency is as great a sin as neglect is in parenthood.

I hate to say it but he is echoing my feelings of what is going to happen.

Our side just doesn’t have the ability to overcome the left. They can stage something every day while we work and tend our families. Fox News is leaning lefter every day and the MSM is a giant tsunami compared to our outlets.

I hope I haven’t made you too negative to start out the morning.

But I hope you and others realize the enormity of the task ahead, even if Sarah Palin wins the GOP nomination.

This is NOT going to be a walk in the park.

One MAJOR difference between Nazi Germany and America is an armed population. So long as we have that, the Constitution will not get tossed.

Eroded, yes. But, tossed - NO!

As long as we have the degree of dependency that we do in this country, a lefty politician like 0bama will always have a good chance.

Why do you think the GOP is scared stiff about “shutting down the government” and being blamed for it?

They know there are millions and millions of voters who depend on the federal government for their very survival and have been conditioned by ‘rat demagogues like 0bama to believe the GOP is “evil,” “wants to starve Granma,” etc. etc.

The ‘rats have come damn close to engineering a permanent constutency of dependency for themselves.

With respect to John Ziegler, I don't think waiting is an answer. It's obvious that Obama isn't actually in charge here, and these same controlling interests will be around come 2016. Best we take them on now versus allowing them to become even stronger.

Is Gov. Palin the best one to take up this challenge? Well, as of now probably so.

I find it refreshing that a writer has the moral fiber unapologetically to compare Obama with Hitler. The parallels have existed since before his election and they ought to be made plain to the whole electorate.

If the author chooses to do that with sentences of 97 words, I assume that he didn't think 96 were enough. It is not the length of the sentences or the length of the article but the content that counts.

One is reminded of the scene in Amadeus in which the king criticizes Mozart's original composition because, "it has too many notes, yes that's it, too many notes."

You are seriously misunderestimating the useful idiocy of the left. It requires only a few brilliant minds to control the leftist rabble and turn them to the dark side.

Be very clear here, whomever is the Republican nominee or an opponent of Obama’s in 2012 will be “Quayled”. This media machine will attempt to destroy ANYONE they view as a threat.

This Left Machine has used every weapon in the arsenal against Gov. Palin, and you know what? She's still standing. I strongly doubt any of the current contenders would withstand such an attack, and the Left knows it.

Our biggest problem isn't only the Left. It's an entrenched establishment in both parties.

Palin’s best chance is 2016 imho. By that time the government will be so bankrupted and most of the left will media will be in deep financial troubles, even they will have problem defending Obama
