Why is it so difficult for some conservatives to accept the idea that the left is hellbent on destroying America as we know it? Its not like its a far-out conspiracy theory. Its a well documented ongoing process. These people have been at it for decades. The Cloward-Piven Strategy, which is one piece of the subversive puzzle, is real. Weve proven it here at NewsReal and Ive proven it in my upcoming book Subversion Inc. Since the culturally catastrophic 1960s elements within the left have been more or less open about their movements desire to overthrow the American system of government and capitalism its not a secret. Read a Noam Chomsky book if you can do so without throwing up and feel the anti-American venom leap right off the page and splash you in the face.
Yet Bill OReilly and the more libertarian John Stossel dont think that malice lurks in the hearts of American leftists. Courtesy of my favorite clipping service, Media Matters for America (their motto might as well be We clip everything cool that conservatives say on TV and radio.), heres a discussion OReilly and Stossel had on Fox News last night:
In the clip above OReilly bashes conservative talk radio for accusing the left of malice and Stossel just shrugs and says leftists just like spending other peoples money too much. Move on: Nothing to see here, folks. Why the assumption of good faith? Are they afraid to call out people who hate America because it might be impolite? Is it Polite Company Conservative syndrome? (See a great piece by the coiner of the phrase Tunku Varadarajan.)
A more egregious offender is Michael Medved who stridently denounces his fellow conservatives for questioning the intentions of leftists.

Republican politicians spend way too much time being nice to the other side.
I’ve met a few liberals who were ‘in the know’ - but for the most part they’re clueless. Which is kind of comforting for me. In a real crunch - some of them would flip to our side.
Because it’s the Stupid Party.
Bill OReilly is NOT a conservative
AGREED.... he’s a “plays both sides” blowhard.
why would anybody think that Republicans (socialists) are acting in good faith? You know the liberal hates American and is against you. The Republican (socialist) will say he is with you, then back stab you and implement the Democrats (communists) policies. Who are you more foolish believing?
The Big Boo
Why use Bill OâReilly as an example? ;’) Thanks Michael van der Galien.

“Yet Bill OReilly and the more libertarian John Stossel...’
It would be nice if Horowitz actually mentioned some conservatives in his article. I like the guy, but you think, having been a leftist, he would realize that O’Reilly is a moderate liberal and Stossel a socially liberal libertarian, neither of which qualifies one as being a conservative.
