You may have missed the introduction of the .577 T Rex when it debuted several years ago. Its an over sized elephant gun that shoots a 750 grain bullet at between 2,150 and about 2,500 fps depending on the load. The target is hit with 10,000 pounds of force when impacted by a round from this thirteen pound rifle.
There was a video made of of people test firing it. Of the twenty four unsuspecting people who shot it, seven people could not hold on to it during the recoil when it fired, and the rifle flew from their grasp. Its really a shoulder cannon.
Ray Bradbury, author of "A Sound of Thunder,"would be proud. And, of course, when zombies attack just try to line up 15 or so of them and take care of them like Pancho Villa did with 3 or 4 Federales at a time in the early 1900's. Zombies should be softer targets. Here's the video...

Captain H C Boys” Boys antitank rifle is certainly not child’s play.
Just for info, during the 19th century, elephant hunter rode horses and used muzzle loading rifles. While on horseback, powder was literally poured down the bore with one’s hand, a slightly undersized ball (for the bore) of some 600-800 grains shoved in, the nipple capped and BANG!!
For later.
Ping for later.
Yes but they come with a fine and penalty. Hard to get license to shoot them.
Shoot. The .45-70s were used in the whaling industry to kill whales with one shot. 79 grains black powder, 500 gr bullet.
This is a ridiculous rifle.
Put this rifle to your shoulder and all other experiences in your life will fade to insignificance!
I shoot .45-70 exclusively. It is a wonderful round. You can take a rabbit (140 gr, 465 fps) or an elephant.
And it is a good shotgun, 48 gauge.
Nothng like it. The bee’s knees.
Loved that one. Here is one of my Favs watch this Grannie rock an roll.

Elephants have rifles??? Do they keep them in their trunks? “I once shot an elephant in my pajamas. How he got into them, I’ll never know.” - Groucho Marx. Why are elephants afraid to go to Alabama? Because the Tuscaloosa there. “See Horton! There’s that baboon that keeps making fun of me. Pow. Dance, you little monkey! Dance!”
I hunt with an Apex .300 Super which sends a 180 gr. Nosler Ballistic Tip at 3280 fps downrange. IIRC, it generates about 5000 ft/lbs. at the muzzle. It weighs 13.5 lbs. and does not have a muzzle brake.
It delivers the power at 500 yards that a 3006 does at the muzzle. It will knock a moose on his butt at 500 as well.
I have never noticed the recoil when shooting at game.
At the rifle range I wear both earplugs and earmuffs. Usually after a few shots the other benches around me seem to clear out.
Had to learn how to fire form brass to make my own cases from .300 H&H brass.
He also said that if you are against something that will turn around and kill you, use enough gun.
With that said, I think there is such a thing as too much gun. I think the T Rex may come under that heading.
