Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) once again attacked Republicans budget proposal on Wednesday, claiming its cuts target little children and poor little boys and girls.
He added that the spending bill, which will face a vote in the Senate later on Wednesday afternoon, is insulting to the American people.
H.R. 1 is a mean-spirited bill that would cut the heart out of the recovery that we have in America today, said Reid. It goes after little children, poor little boys and girls ... we want them to learn to read.

It doesn’t matter what the GOP goes for, the charges are aways the same. They need to go for bigger cuts. They are going to expend significant political capital on a very small reduction in spending.
Also by cutting specific things, they opened themselves up to the usual attacks. They needed to do an overall across the board reduction, focused on wastes, repetitive programs, and a shift closer to zero-based budgeting to justify each and every program within each department. Allow the committees to examine specifics, and force the bureaucracy to make some of the decisions themselves. Oh well. Our side never seems to know how to play the game.

It’s about time Senator Reid made no sense in his rants, as if he ever did. It’s also pretty funny considering what he has turned to arguing about so suddenly. I wonder what the people in Nevada are thinking right now, having recently re-elected him? I hope that someone figures out that he’s worth switching out for someone else at some point, he’s served a little too long....

claiming its cuts target little children and poor little boys and girls. Once again, the democrats use the bodies of little kids as shields. At the same time, they fully support their brutal dismemberment at Planned Parenthood.

harry is an evil lying domestic terrorist... America will never have decent education AGAIN until the nea and unions are outlawed and all teachers fired and hiring of qualified teachers takes place... there you have it... a zillion trillion dollars cannot change that reality.

So, here we go again with the "children and minorities hardest hit" scenario, so old and worn by the left.
The arteries in Reid's brain are obviously hardening rapidly as he chooses to remain stuck in yesteryear, when this childish ploy might have worked a little better.
Any 2nd grader with fundamental math skills can see that you can't keep spending more than you have, and expect to have a future FOR YOUR CHILDREN.
The budget cuts proposed by the GOP - elected by people in November who EXPECT them - are so that our children won't be paying for the obama-reid-pelosi spending spree for the rest of their lives.
