Well, today The Coupon Whisperer performed his magic. I went to the Walmart located here in Broward County at the corner of Atlantic and Pine Island. I walked in armed with 6 Walgreens Register Rewards...Four $3 RRs and two $2 RRs. Usually I have RRs in larger denominations of $5 or more but because the deals of the past two weeks worked out best where I got the $3 RRs, I had to work with what I had.

The steaks have marinated for over an hour and I am about to place them in the oven. I will smother them with onions and mushrooms. BTW, the mushrooms are FREE cans of Geisha mushrooms.

Congrats on the success. We haven’t tried it yet, but now I’m emboldened. I don’t know if I should use them while I can or save them up for a bigger purchase. Any advice?

Best to use them NOW to establish the principle that you CAN use them. Then make big purchases later. Baby steps.

Now, that's a dinner I can relate to. I wish I had a Walgreen's within driving distance. So, does Walmart own Walgreen's?

Walgreen's Register Rewards. Check your local Walgreen's ads for deals that give them. You don't even have to sign up for a stupid card at Walgreen's. They print out a receipt with the RR on it for use on your next Walgreen's purchase. Walmart is accepting them now.

They were gone within hours. The Coupon Whisperer, armed with $6 off 2 Motrins coupons, was only able to score 78 of them.

Both are two separate companies. Not sure if it's a partnership or just Wal Mart trying to one up Walgreen's. Sounds like a coming battle that we the consumer can win. Next move is up to Walgreen's.

Does that stand for Walgreen Registered Rewards? If so, how are they accumulated? I have a WG near me but I only purchase my prescriptions and cigarettes there......

I get FREE RRs all the time. Motrin was FREE to me because of my coupons PLUS they gave me a $3 RR for each one “purchased” with the coupons.
