Terror threats appear to be on the rise as FEMA has rushed a $1 Billion order of dehydrated food in the event of attacks on domestic targets in the US.
This is also coming on the heels of one of the largest terror drills performed by the US Navy on American soil, as Operation Solid Curtain is taking place this week.
In an article Tuesday from the Beaufort Observer, many of the largest suppliers of dehydrated foods in the country are dropping their distributors and customers to dedicate their resources to supplying a billion dollar FEMA request and purchase.

Must be in anticipation of Obammys ouster from the White Hut......
By placing this large an order FEMA has made it very dificult for those planning to take care of themselves in the event of martial law.
I don’t consider myself paranoid, just observant.
Stock up at the store on canned goods if you cannot get freeze dried foods.
Is there a source for this other than examiner blog?
Dehydrating food is one of the simplest preservation methods there is. Don’t worry, prepare.

Both ChocChipCookie’s site and my manual have tips and instruction on dehydrating your own food, which you can then vaccuum seal in jars add an oxygen absorber and you have some long term storage food fairly cheap. I myself catch frozen vegs on sale and dehydrate them saves time!
If you follow these things at all, you will know that the premier maker of freeze dried foods has been sold out for weeks now. Distributors cannot even get their hands on the goods.
Something is up.

Very interesting. As the economic crisis worsens, there is increasing talk about what one might need to survive.
The only outside source cited is the Beaufort Observer. But that turns out to be a letter from a reader to the on-line edition. So, it may or may not be real. I wish they had done a little more fact checking for this article, although that certainly doesn’t disprove it.
