Did Ann Coulter reveal Sarah Palin's presidential intentions? (Video)
Examiner ^ | 2/26/11 | Ryan Whitt

Posted on 02/26/2011 1:48:26 PM PST by pissant

Yesterday Ann Coulter might have unintentionally, or possibly intentionally, let it be known that Sarah Palin will not run for president in 2012. Everyone has made their own best guess on whether or not Palin will run, but Coulter may have access to more "insider knowledge" given her position as an established conservative commentator. In an interview with Sean Hannity last night Coulter said that she "loved" Palin, but also took a slight verbal jab at the former half-term governor of Alaska. After praising Palin, Coulter goes on to say that she does not think that Palin will run for president. Hannity counters by saying that Coulter is "unnecessarily narrowing the field" and that Palin has publicly said she is still considering a run. It is at this point that Coulter reveals, "I think she's saying that because she also said Newt Gingrich told her you can get higher speaking fees if you pretend you are running for President." At this point things get awkward as Hannity tries to cut Coulter off (video to the left).

She merely pointed out, that why would she want to take a step down, put herself through all that turmoil and run for President, when she had so much better going for herself and her family by writing and speaking?

Because Coulter clearly doesn't understand Palin.

She thinks Palin cares about fame and fortune? Palin didn't grovel to be McCain's VP. She was more than happy being Governor and she was more than content on finishing her term but the haters wouldn't let her.

Palin has said a million times she has a servant's heart and she would run for President in the best interests of her country.

I used to own several of Coulter's books. I donated them to Goodwill. From here on out she is dead to me.

I don’t think both parties are alike. I think our problems are too big for a human solution.

I like Coulter, and enjoy some of her writings. Coulter is intimidated by Palin. Palin is better looking, and politically more important. Coulter was the right wing intellectual babe (sorta) until Palin came along. For Coulter it’s a lot more about the amount of spotlight Sarah takes than anything else.

I am glad I read the entire thread BEFORE I posted my own swipe at that ‘half term’ BS.

Ann has been, whether she wants to admit it or not, inside the Beltway (and TV studios) too long. Its showing...starting with her feckless assault on “birthers.”. That tells me more of Coulter’s mindset than I care to know.

I still think she is witty, and fun to read...but not someone whose opinion I value.

Y'know, about two days ago there was an article that none of the Pubbies could connect with youth, and how the Bamster and the Rats had it going.

So, here's Palin with a reality TV show, every time she tweets or posts on Facebook she's quoted all over the country, and her daughter is on Dancing with the Stars.

“We Played the Flute for you and you did not dance, we sang a dirge and you did not mourn”

No way! Going to AZ or Wisconsin would be about the dumbest thing she could. Gov. Palin expressed her condolences and then smartly waited to answer her attackers, days later...via Facebook. Going to the ‘scene’ is a panderer’s job—never letting a crisis go to waste.

Wisconsin is a STATE issue, and Barky should have stayed out of it. Palin, as a former Governor, has wisely sidestepped it.

Does it have something to do with phases of the moon or something like that, perhaps?

To those of you who will read this: Sarah told the boys on her radio station that she would announce her decision on their show......it was made known that she has asked for time some time in April, (after her international trip I may point out)to be on the show......take it for what it’s worth, but IMHO she’s in and that will be the announcement, as she promised.....

She is a person of her word, which makes her the best possible candidate.....

Sarah has said she doesn’t know whether or not she’ll run yet. Let’s just believe her. I think she’ll run unless she concludes it will bolster Obama’s chances of being re-elected.

if Palin were indeed serious about running for office she would have been in AZ a month ago and in WI this month.

I didn't see any 'serious' POTUS candidates there.

Who cares what Coulter thinks?

Especially now that she's made it perfectly clear that her preferred candidates are Christie and Romney -- RINO losers.

“I think we can all alow Ann to have a little fun at both Newt’s and Sarah’s expense.”

I agree.

But at the same time, Coulter has gone off the reservation. She has been absolutely wacky lately, starting with the illogical obsession with Christie.

Problems are always too big for a human solution, but that’s a cop out and certainly humans have done better or worse, depending. All human societies are not the same, or we would be Saudi Arabia or Nazi Germany.

Chris Christie is all PRO ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION!!

And squishy (at best) on the 2nd amendment, a supporter of the Ground Zero mosque, and has a strange relationship with radical Islam in general. Plus he's an off-putting obnoxious whale.

I agree, none of the others were there, and that's why I think none of them will be the nominee, either. A leader must lead, and you can't lead by being absent.

As for whether it's now or never, they said that about Reagan in 1976, or Nixon in 1962.

The point is, a leader won't be able much longer to take swipes from Fox News, as, say, Huck does, or post pithy sayings on FB like Palin does. Sooner or later, "THE" person is going to have to get in front of some of these issues.
