Did Ann Coulter reveal Sarah Palin's presidential intentions? (Video)
Examiner ^ | 2/26/11 | Ryan Whitt

Posted on 02/26/2011 1:48:26 PM PST by pissant

Yesterday Ann Coulter might have unintentionally, or possibly intentionally, let it be known that Sarah Palin will not run for president in 2012. Everyone has made their own best guess on whether or not Palin will run, but Coulter may have access to more "insider knowledge" given her position as an established conservative commentator. In an interview with Sean Hannity last night Coulter said that she "loved" Palin, but also took a slight verbal jab at the former half-term governor of Alaska. After praising Palin, Coulter goes on to say that she does not think that Palin will run for president. Hannity counters by saying that Coulter is "unnecessarily narrowing the field" and that Palin has publicly said she is still considering a run. It is at this point that Coulter reveals, "I think she's saying that because she also said Newt Gingrich told her you can get higher speaking fees if you pretend you are running for President." At this point things get awkward as Hannity tries to cut Coulter off (video to the left).

FWIW

Not worth much. Ann is irrelevant. She wants Christie and he's too soft. Christie is pro muslim and anti-gun.

Coulter came out and said clearly that Sarah Palin was the ONLY reason she voted for McCain in ‘08.

She merely pointed out, that why would she want to take a step down, put herself through all that turmoil and run for President, when she had so much better going for herself and her family by writing and speaking?

I agree with Coulter on this one.

Ann also thinks that the nearly 70% of Republicans with questions about Obama’s eligibility are “cranks”,... And...She used the KKK to make her point that this 70% is somehow a fringe group.

Way to go, Ann! /s

She’s trying desperately to retain her position as a pundit, but she seems increasingly unable to justify her place there. Chris Christie? Are you kidding me?

Has the media ever called Obama a half-term senator? Just wondering.

She jumped the shark for me, with her “crank” and “KKK” remarks about the bithers. She's done for me!

a) I think the view that both sides are alike is flawed at best and downright silly at worst. We've already seen what a handful of governors can do, and are about to see a lot more;

b) Here come the Coulter-bashers, because anyone who expresses any opinion around here that Palin may have a flaw or two is pilloried; and

c) I have thought if Palin were indeed serious about running for office she would have been in AZ a month ago and in WI this month. Anyone truly seeking to head a movement must, well, head the damn movement and not cede it to previously unknown governors like Walker or, soon, Kasich. So I agree with Electric Graffiti that once she started doing the "celebrity" thing, it was a good indicator that she wasn't serious about the presidency.

Sarah Palin is one of our own.

And that is exactly why the elite ruling class hate her.

When the family cashed in....

Cashed in from what? Being nearly bankrupted by her political enemies?

books,

Nothing wrong with writing a book.

reality shows

So what? She held no elective office. If she wants to do an 8-part show that highlighted the beauty of her state what business is it of yours?

dancing with the morons etc.

She wasn't on dancing with the stars, moron. Her daughter was.

I realized she wasn’t running for President. Nothing wrong with seizing the moment.

You have no idea how Palin operates. She is an uncoventional politician.

Re your c).............okay, so where was Mittens, the Huckster, Pawlenty, Thune ( who now has bowed out ), Christie ( who swears he is NOT running ), Newtie ( who should shut up and NEVER run for anything, ever again ! ), and every single other person whose name is bannied about as a possible presidential '12 candidate? They were NOWHERE, that's where they were and are.

Should Palin not run, she will have absolutely no, none, nada "power" to effect politics,or anything else, in the future. And no future GOP president will ever nominate her for any position, just to have her dominate the conversation in the media. So,for her, it is now or never.

IMO I really think Palin knows what many of us have been saying for some time, that she can’t/wouldn’t win.
