On MSNBCs Morning Joe this morning, host Joe Scarborough delivered a scathing rant against Glenn Beck. According to Scarborough, Beck is losing it before our eyes and is bad for the conservative movement.
Hes bad for the Republican party. Hes bad for Fox News. Its that simple, Scarborough said, referring specifically to Becks recent work to uncover the socialists, progressives, and unions to the unrest in Egypt and Wisconsin.
Guest commentator Pat Buchanan added that Republicans have a responsibility and a duty to make sure Beck isnt speaking for conservatives.
Scarborough refers to a recent blog post by conservative writer Peter Wehner calling Glenn, The most disturbing personality on cable television. I talk to Pete from time to time and have a good deal of respect for his analysis most of the time. I found his most recent posts on Glenn, however, to be pretty shallow. Its a popular sport to make dramatic denunciations of Beck themes without really engaging in a discussion of the arguments.
Ive been involved in mainstream conservative thought and politics for 25 years and I can assure you that Wehner and Scarborough are mounting a very weak case. Ive worked with many top conservative leaders and politicians. Glenn is about as thoughtful and sincere in his approach to political argument as anyone Ive met. The depth and range of discussion around the Mercury and Blaze offices is the most interesting and electrifying of any place Ive worked.

As if Joey the MSNBC employee has the best interests of FNC in mind.
It seems to me that Joe is bad for the TEA Party.
All I am going to say about this is, since when are PMSNBC hosts concerned what is good for the Republicans or Conservatives?
Joe Scarborough is still on TV?
Hes bad for Fox News?
Put your ratings up against his, Joe, and we’ll see who’s bad for whom, eh?..................
The flack is always thickest when you're over the target.
Joe Scarborough is the “Al Bundy” of former Reps.
As Al used to say “I played High School Football”
Joe say “I was in the US Congress”
Get over it Joe. You were a one term loser. The glory days were just that.
Prove him wrong. That’ll settle it .
Let's just say that I think that the New World Order crowd (all-in, that would include the American Left) funded and encouraged the "YEWTS" via covert operatives.
If you don't believe it; you need to get out more.
I am not a Beck fan.
I watched maybe three minutes of his Union talk last nite.
I am amazed that the DNC has not let loose one of their Jared Loughner sleepers on him yet.
Maybe they are focusing on Gov Walker first.
Joe Scarbury is losing it. Didn’t he sing the theme to The Greatest American Hero? hum.... This bozo deserves to be a one hit wonder of news. He’s not republican, he’s liberal.
Pat Buchanan added that Republicans have a responsibility and a duty to make sure Beck isnt speaking for conservatives.
Yeah right Pat. Pat is so mentally confused he does not know if he, himself, is a leftist, fascist, dictator, or totalitarian to put a few adjectives by his name.
“The flack is always thickest when you’re over the target.”
This says it best.
Style or substance? Sometimes Beck has turned me off with the way he’s presented things, but it’s style, not substance. He’s right on many things before anyone else, and he doesn’t ask any more that you check the same sources as he does. Beck’s substance, that he educates and informs, accounts for his high ratings, I think.
If he’s ‘disturbing’ it might be that sometimes the truth is disturbing to comfortable people who’d rather ignore bad news until it can’t be ignored anymore.
“In a time of universal deceit, telling the truth is a revolutionary act.” - Eric Arthur Blair (George Orwell)
Jealousy is an ugly trait, Joe.
Shut up, Pat.
“Are you accepting at this point Beck’s thesis that these demonstrations have been largely orchestrated by leftist American (etal) organizations?” ~ jobim

The violent legacy of Richard Trumka
violent legacy of AFL-CIO thug-in-chief Richard Trumka:
Trumka and Obama will cast Big Labor as an unassailable force for good in American history. But when it comes to terrorizing workers, Trumka knows whereof he speaks.
Meet Eddie York. He was a workingman whose story will never scroll across Obamas teleprompter. A nonunion contractor who operated heavy equipment, York was shot to death during a strike called by the United Mine Workers 17 years ago. Workmates who tried to come to his rescue were beaten in an ensuing melee. The head of the UMW spearheading the wave of strikes at that time? Richard Trumka. Responding to concerns about violence, he shrugged to the Virginian-Pilot in September 1993: Im saying if you strike a match and you put your finger in it, youre likely to get burned. Incendiary rhetoric, anyone?
A federal jury convicted one of Trumkas UMW captains on conspiracy and weapons charges in Yorks death. According to the Washington, D.C.-based National Legal and Policy Center, which tracks Big Labor abuse, Trumkas legal team quickly settled a $27 million wrongful death suit filed by Yorks widow just days after a judge admitted evidence in the criminal trial. An investigative report by Readers Digest disclosed that Trumka did not publicly discipline or reprimand a single striker present when York was killed. In fact, all eight were helped out financially by the local.
In Illinois, Trumka told UMW members to kick the s**t out of every last worker who crossed his picket lines, according to the Nashville (Ill.) News. And as the National Right to Work Foundation (pdf), the leading anti-forced unionism organization in the country, pointed out, other UMW coalfield strikes resulted in what one judge determined were violent activities
organized, orchestrated and encouraged by the leadership of this union.
Trumka washed off the figurative bloodstains and moved up the ranks. As AFL-CIO secretary, he notoriously refused to testify in a sordid 1999 embezzlement trial involving his labor boss brethren at the Teamsters Union. No surprise. Thugs of a feather: Trumkas violence-promoting record echoes the riotous Teamsters strikes dating back to the 1950s, when the union organized taxicab companies to target workers with gas bombs, bottles and fists.
And now, Trumka is spearheading a Democratic Party get-out-the-vote campaign by far-left groups publicized in the revolutionary Marxist Peoples World to energize an army of tens of thousands who will return to their neighborhoods, churches, schools and voting booths to prevent a Republican takeover of Congress in November and begin building a new permanent coalition to fight for a progressive agenda.
Take those as literal fighting words. The bloody consequences of compulsory unionism cannot be ignored.

It’s sad that people like Buchanan are so corruptable that they change just to fit in with a tv network. I’m not a big Beck fan, but he has a lot more importance than Buchanan or Scarborough combined. It’s the Glenn Beck show, the RNC show etc. Scarborough doesn’t have talent.
I was about to type the same thing. I honestly did not know Joe was still on TV.
