People get understandably fatigued by America’s “confessional culture,” but insofar as this encourages abused kids to speak up and aim high, it’s all to the good. It sounds like the molestation took place over a relatively short period of time but the duration of the beatings is less clear. Probably not “relatively short,” though:
Brown told also Stahl that he endured brutal physical abuse by more than one stepfather and even considered purchasing a Wakefield home where he’d been battered, “just so I could burn it down.”
“I actually called the realtor and went in and took the tour and relived kind of where everything was … to make sure I wasn’t … dreaming. As I left, I said, ‘Man, I wish I had the money. I’d just buy this thing and burn it down,’” Brown said.
He told Stahl that opening up about his tough upbringing, and revealing details that his wife and mother didn’t even know about, was cathartic.

Maybe so but he still is a jackass.
Because the same thing happened to someone you know and care for but you just don’t know it.
I think it speaks volumes about this guy that he voted to end DADT, and expose our military to flagrant homosexuality in the barracks.
It is sad when a child is abused. But the child can either learn from it and grow stronger, or fail to deal with it and be perverted.
Pederasty in the schools is a real problem in Massachusetts. Has Scott Brown worked against it while he was in the State Legislature? Again, why did he vote with the homosexual lobby on DADT?
Barack Obama was almost certainly abused as a child by the “mentor” his sick grandfather chose for him. He writes about it in his poem “Pops.” You can feel sorry for Obama, but unfortunately his perverted youth led to his becoming a malignant narcissist and a homosexual. Again, you could feel sorry for him if he were not inflicting his perversions on the rest of us from the White House.
I don’t know why Scott Brown told this story in public, but I wouldn’t hold my breath waiting for him to denounce homosexual pederasts or voting to eliminate the gay agenda from our schools and our culture. Maybe he should quit the Senate and seek help.
So is this the shot over the bow that he’s not going to run again, because he wants to spend more time with his therapist?
I always thought the two kinds of people are those who put everyone into two groups and those who don't.
