Glenn Beck says that Egypt-style chaos in the streets coming to the US soon

Glenn Beck says that Egypt-style chaos in the streets coming to the US soon. By now, many people know that Glenn Beck—along with some conservatives and libertarians—believes that the Egypt uprising is anything but a true people’s movement and a call for democracy. As he and even some Middle East experts see it, the uprising that led to Mubarak’s stepping down yesterday is all a front for the anti-American, non-secular and Islamist Muslim Brotherhood taking over in Egypt. Beck also thinks that the chaos in Egypt’s streets will be the inspiration for revolutions in other countries, with the last stop on the world revolutions list being the good old US of A. He also says that the coming revolution will be masterminded by communist and socialist groups that have been egged on by Egypt’s example.

This author is a typical idiot demagogue. I have followed Beck through all of this and he as not mentioned the USA at all. In fact the opposite, because the USA is hopelessly secular. Beck has only been talking about the ME block countries on the verge of turmoil.

This is the typical ignorant press who watch 5 minutes of Beck and then garner all sorts of theories related to what he is actually saying and then report them as fact.

It's upsetting to see so many people turning on Glenn Beck.

It is easier for many people to live in denial. If they ignore it; the problems will go away, and they won't have to deal with it.

Yeah, I guess you're right. Still I don't like how Beck-bashing has become so popular. I hate how the media is still so influential, even among many conservatives who should know better.

Yesterday Rasmussen had a poll that had Hillary C with a 60% favorable rating! She and her husband were as crooked as the day is long and yet still gets approval that high. Meanwhile, Beck is constantly trashed and ridiculed.

I share many views with Beck. I used to watch his show and listen to the radio program regularly. Unfortunately, I think Beck has jumped the shark. His delivery is over the top, and his radio program turned into a childish puppet show filled with immature humor delivered by his two sidekicks and himself. This removes all credibility from the message he is delivering and makes it painful to watch and listen. If he were to backpeddle a bit and present his beliefs without the drama and antics, I would probably watch / listen again.

In the matter of revolts coming to the U.S., I disagree. The most likely situation would arise from cutting back or eliminating entitlement programs. We would have race-baiters like Sharpton and Jackson calling for demonstrations rather than encouraging deadbeats to get jobs. Most common sense and practical Americans would support eliminating these programs, so I think it would just be a flash in the pan: those who want everything for doing nothing at the expense of hard-working Americans vs. everyone else. Lawlessness and looting would be curtailed quickly, thanks to the 2nd amendment.

>>”I used to like Beck but seems as though his shelf life has expired.”<<

>>”Everyday it’s another dire prediction.”<<

I’m surprised to hear this from you, Red. You very well know that freedom does not have a “shelf life”. ‘Constant vigilance’ IS the only answer.

Beck’s “dire predictions” were originally made 50 years ago by the JBS and he is only reminding us that maybe we should have listened to MOST (not all) of what they warned us about.

Americans have become fat, lazy and apathetic while Communism has never even taken a nap. If you haven’t noticed, most of his predictions have/are coming true, as we see happening daily. He convicts our enemies with their own words.

Beck’s theatrics are due to his strong passion and desire for America to remain free from tyranny. He is frustrated that a large part of Americans do not see the dangers we are facing. If it takes yelling and screaming and his ‘clown-like’ antics to wake us up, then so be it.

His “self life” has not expired. It is renewed every day that Americans continue to fail to see what the enemies of freedom have in store for us.

God bless Glen Beck and God bless America.

I couldn’t agree with you more. I have been saying the same things for weeks as the situation in Egypt began to unfold.

Still I don't like how Beck-bashing has become so popular.

He makes people uncomfortable. Did you ever see 'The Day After'? There was a storyline involving a woman preparing for her daughter's wedding day. Even though the sirens were wailing and the Soviet missles were inbound to the United States; she continued to clean and prepare her daughter's room for her 'big day'. Finally; her husband had to physically pick her up and haul her off to the bomb shelter with her screaming 'Why?" all along the way. I see that denial streak in LOTS of American women who don't want to see their vision of a 'sugar and spice life with children and grandchildren' disrupted by the likes of Glenn Beck. Bring up the subject of Ezekiel 38 or the Book of Revelation with a Christian woman sometime...I actually had one tell me "I don't pay any attention to THAT part..."

Okay.

Interesting how often Obama uses the word “Inspire” when talking about the middle eastern mess.

Obama didn’t use the term “inspire” last year when supporting the green revolution in Iran. Oh, that’s right. He didn’t support the democratic aspirations of Iranian citizens. Hmmmmmm...

No problem.

I don’t understand why so many people are becoming critical of Glenn’s mission to educate Americans. Perhaps if more of them would focus on all the good he has done, all the people he has exposed as traitors and 0bama’s connections to enemies of America they would feel different...?

Stay vigilant at any cost.

Well if you think about it, in the extreme, the people of Germany KNEW what Hitler was doing in those Death Camps, but if it didn’t directly effect them but just those hated Jews, big deal.

I expect more of the Beck audience to be the SEE no EVIL, Speak no EVIL, HEAR no EVIL types that turn away.
If you don’t know the TRUTH, then you are not required to act. Easier than the alternative.

This action we are seeing now has had 40+ years of activism, teaching, and community organizing to reach this point.

The “big thing” now is calling everything Democracy. Everyone that siots by an accepts this perversion of what America is really about, which is a Republican form of Government.
“ Democracy has many critics, both in the past as well as today. While it proponents such as Abraham Lincoln see, in democracy, a government of the people by the people and for the people, critics in the like of Thomas Jefferson only perceive democracy as a tyranny of the majority—nothing more than an angry mob, where fifty-one percent of the people may take away the rights of the other forty-nine. This view is also reflected in the words of Sir Winston Churchill who once quipped that democracy is the worst form of government except for all the rest.”

Beck is like Paul Revere,a lone light in the darkness.

Absolutely. Maybe since I come originally from southern california where all these marxists hang out (where zer0 got his start, too, according to his books) I have felt like we have been sleeping for decades and are just now opening our eyes when it may be too late. I sure hope it's not, but the bad guys are at LEAST as advanced as Glenn says they are and I can testify to that first hand. They wanted me to be part of it, I refused, they destroyed my business. They play for keeps.

That was in the early 90s. I was completely ignorant of them at that time. I'm not now and Glenn is right. And they are deadly serious.

We need to be equally serious and equally dedicated. And we are behind the game.

I believe Glenn to be a watchman, sent by God, for this time, to wake us up. Ignore him at your peril. I thank God for him, and pray for his safety.

Can you imagine the threats he must receive? The man needs our prayers. He has been at the front on many things and don't folks have a remote if they don't want to watch?

But isn’t that his whole “Gandhi” premise? That us getting worked up into violence is exactly what facilitates the leftist dream scenario? That if we fail to respond as we are being programmed to respond, their plan fails? What if they held a revolution and no one showed up?

Meanwhile, other tactics can be deployed in parallel to not responding to the Pavlovian conditioning, such as winning more elections than we should, staying more vigilant about structural attacks than we should, and being better people than they expect us to be. Because if Beck has anything right at all, its that the left takes a very cynical view of human nature, builds its whole strategy on a belief that people are just chemical equations that can be controlled through the right sequence of stimuli. The elite would-be gods of the left do not even view us as sheep; more like bacteria, good for nothing but to be pressed into the service of their gigantic egos. Beck is advocating the Gandhi route because that negates their institutional advantage by trashing a key component of their plan, the predictability of human response to a physical crisis, not entirely unlike the premise of Satan’s attack on Job. I’m not sure I agree with it in whole, but on its face it’s not a bad theory.
