PHOENIX — Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio is urging his uniformed deputies to use caution when eating at McDonald’s restaurants following an alleged incident in Mesa.
The Sheriff’s Office says a uniformed deputy was verbally harassed in Spanish by McDonald’s food handlers Thursday.
The deputy says both he and Arpaio were accused of being racists.
The deputy confronted the workers in Spanish about their remarks and refused to accept his food order as a precaution.
Arpaio says the restaurant was targeted for an employer sanctions investigation last March when four people were arrested for identification theft.
The franchisee of the Mesa McDonald’s says he takes the allegations seriously and is gathering facts.
Richard Coulston says McDonald’s has a zero tolerance policy against discrimination of any kind and his restaurant is no exception.
Try this:
Go to the drive through and order a bunch of stuff. when order is placed, just drive off.
It will mess up the order scheduling big time.
If a lot of people do this they might get the message....
I moved to North Carolina from New Mexico a few years ago. As one would expect fast food in NM had few English speakers. My first day of work here in Carolina I went to McDonald’s early for breakfast. They had about 15 people working there and I was the only customer. The manager and me were the only two in the restaurant that spoke English ....For a split second I though it was a dream and back in New Mexico...unbelievable.

Boycott the shithole and execute a food safety inspection.I bet it wont pass and shut them down.I question the allegiances of the francise owner.I have boycotted the local mcdonalds for years now and will continue to do so.

It’s not just the states near Mexico. It’s here in Minnestoopid as well. A lot of illegals at McDonalds, plus this state famous for a bunch of illegals hauled out of several Chipotle establishments. I order my food, the counterperson looks at me like I am speaking some obscure dialect (called plain English). I try to explain, slowly, and I get called rude. Expecting people to do their jobs is rude. One of my first introductions to Minnesota work ethic.
Anybody that eats from the hand of the evil clown is just begging for trouble.
They want to speak Spanish? Then pay them in pesos and see how they like it.

MCSO’s email stated that the Deputy was at a McDonalds in Mesa. The AP contacted someone named Hector Cruz who they said was the “Mesa McDonalds Manager” when actually he is in Phoenix. So that was the MSM’s screwup. The store was in Mesa.
Screw it. I’m just staying the heck away from all the Mickey Dee’s. I hear their food sucks....
I haven’t been to one in years either. When they started pretty obviously targeting their ads to a certain “community,” I figured they didn’t want my white ass in there anymore.
