Glenn Beck Show: Islamic Caliphate Coming Soon. On Yesterday’s Glenn Beck Show, Glenn had on one of his friends (seems like many of his guests are his friends), an author/Middle East expert by the name of Joel Rosenberg, whose latest book is “The Twelfth Imam.” Together, Beck and the guest went over why the instability in Egypt is so relevant to the establishment of an Islamic caliphate. According to Rosenberg, the first step in creating the imminent Islamic caliphate is for the Muslims to focus on both Jerusalem as well as Saudi Arabia’s Mecca and Medina. Since they already possess Iran as the epicenter of Islamic radicalism, the Muslims want to surround Jerusalem and Mecca and Medina because they see those places as the “crown jewels” in their caliphate.

Sounds like open season on any and all muslims. Christians should take the same stance, convert or die.
Nothing in history is impossible. O could win the support of rioting Arabs through the simple, and likely, device of impeachment. If he then donned Arabian garb he would immediately be elevated to the same god like status he achieved here with his election.
Wait for it.
Remember, the Muslims had a Caliph until the 1920’s, since the Ottoman Sultan had taken the title some centuries ago. Plenty of Arabs didn’t like this, and after the Sultan was deposed and then gave up the title of Caliph, the Muslim Brotherhood was founded and started planning for restoring the old style universal Muslim Caliph.
Plus, it wouldn't bother him financially. You can bet he has directly or indirectly stashed billions in stimulus funds in foreign accounts.
Makes one want to acquire a pet pig to take with you everywhere you go.

Joel C. Rosenberg is the Suspense/Thriller author. Not sure how he stands on 2nd Amendment, but he has people using guns in his books. Seems likely to be a supporter, too.

I like Beck because of his sense of History. However, this Caliphate business is alarmism carried to an extreme. I don’t think Beck could find one legitimate Middle East scholar in fifty who would support his view. As I have said elsewhere, first you would have to locate the Caliphate, and secondly you would have to name a Caliph. There would be much blood shed before that ever occurred. This, means of course that the Muslim would agree with the Arab, and the Shiite with the Sunni. If you want a reason for my view, just investigate the Organization of the Islamic Conference; it can’t even agree half the time on where to hold its annual meetings.
Regardless of whatever obstacles are in their way, the Caliphate is the express goal of the Muslim Brotherhood. They have been operating since 1928, spawned most of the violent jihadist movements of today and appear to disagree quite vehemently with your assessment.

There are millions of muslims who would disagree with those ‘scholars’, assuming those ‘scholars’ would not lie to infidels.

I'm sure the Christians will allow more time than the Muslims. It's going to be an either or decision here soon.
