The Sickness Of The Left: Dare Say You Like Palin And We’ll Destroy You
conservatives4palin ^ | 2/3/2011 | Sheya

Not only are the media and the left on a full scale attack to take down and destroy Governor Palin, but there is also a coordinated attempt to demoralize her supporters. Every hour of every day Palin supporters have to deal with trash and lies, so it goes without saying that when we do come across something or someone that’s supportive of the Governor we get all excited about it.

On Tuesday night we received a tip in our inbox; an image of a “Vote Palin 2012″ sign displayed outside a local Hometown Restaurant in Pennsylvania. We posted it.

So what do we have here?

We have an owner of a private business in a small town who wants to express his support for Governor Palin. He didn’t run around town hanging up signs in public places, he didn’t violate anyone’s space. No! All he did was use his own premises to put up a sign in support of someone he admires. He simply exercised his constitutional right of free speech.

But, it didn’t take long for the Palin bashers and the left, who supposedly are proponents of “free speech” to go out on a full scale attack against the owner of the restaurant just for exercising that right. They went as far as calling for a boycott of the restaurant and created a Facebook page inciting visitors to do everything they can to destroy the business.

Those tactics include:

Tying up the phone lines, placing large fake orders, booking the banquet for non existent events, bombarding them with hate mail, threatening them with violence and assault and going around the internet posting bad reviews about the restaurant. Some of them are too vile to even post here. (Read them all and more on the group’s Facebook page).

This comment on the page by Ivan Matthew Libman especially caught my attention. While the writer seems like one sensible liberal, he still calls for a “private” boycott, here’s an excerpt:

My problem with this boycott is that I feel it is more like the tactics of the conservatives trying to control what we can think or express. What we have here is a restaurant owner in some little podunk town back east who feels he wants to express his support of Palin….so what? This is America and he should have the right to express his views whether we agree with them or not. Personally, I don’t feel he is making a wise business decision to mix politics with business but there are no laws against it and it is still his right to do so. Sure we also have the right to protest his decision and If I lived in this town I would not eat at this restaurant, but to try and organize a nationwide telephone protest designed to disrupt this mans business seems to me to be petty and bullying. There are so many real problems going on right now that need our attention is this really where our attention should be focused? Do we really want to present the image to the world that Liberals will start a nationwide effort to destroy a mans little business because we don’t like who he supports politically? This just seems wrong to me and it saddens me to think that Liberals would sink to this level. In another comment Ivan writes:

What I object to is the tactics being used. If you live in the town or are passing through I would recommend by all means voting with your dollars and avoiding this. Well, Ivan as nice as your gesture sounds, although you’re disagree with a public boycott you’re still advocating people privately not eat there. Why, just because he supports someone you don’t like? No, this is not conservative tactics. Conservatives disagree with pretty much everything President Obama stands for, but when we see a business owner displaying a pro Obama sign we will not boycott them. We’ll go in do our business and walk out. Conservatives do not object to people supporting whoever they want, what we object, is people like you who’ll act like you care so much about free speech as long as it’s only used by people you agree with.

Various commentators on the group have expressed how Governor Palin is over, how she can never be elected to any public office again. Really? Than why do they fear her so much? Why the boycotts? Why go after a harmless business owner who’s supporting a “loser”? You really think a small business in a small town is that much of a threat to you? Heaven forbid they express an opinion.

The truth is, this is all an attempt to silence their opponents with the only method they have. Poll after poll says it that when it comes to the issues the majority of Americans agree with Governor Palin. The left can’t argue with her on the merits so their only option is to revert to scare tactics and incite violence; seek and destroy. They hope that by scaring Governor Palin’s supporters they’ll prevent her message from getting out. It won’t work, not this time, because this time we’re on to them.

In his comment Ivan asks: Do we really want to present the image to the world that Liberals will start a nationwide effort to destroy a mans little business because we don’t like who he supports politically?

I hate to break it to you Ivan, but that ship sailed a long time ago.

Note to the owners of the restaurant: If you happen to read this post, contact us if you need any assistance we’ve got your back and we’ll do anything we can to help you and defend you.

Update: I had the pleasure of talking to the owner of the restaurant who confirmed that they had in fact put up the sign. I was amazed at how after receiving an excessive amount of nuisance calls the guy was strong and just found the entire thing amusing. He noted that the number of support calls exceeded the hate calls by far, which he really appreciated. If you’re ever in Palmyra, PA make a point to visit the place. Visit their website here and be sure to show them your support on the restaurant’s facebook page.

You might want to mention FRee Republic to them Freddd. We had a business man here in Missouri that put a billboard up on the highway that had a ‘don’t tread on me flag’. Anyway, lots of FReepers emailed support to him and I emailed him. He wanted to join FR and as far as I know, did.

Well everyone has their own personal threshold. But most if they feel strongly are like you and will simply not go in there. The vast majority will not spend time and effort to try to destroy the business simply because they support a candidate they don't like.

I disagree. I just walk out. Obama supporters don't get my business. My neighbors who support Obama, I'll be cordial but won't go out of my way to do favors for them like I do for my conservative neighbors.

Call me petty, but that's my prerogative as a human with the God-given right of free association.

It's what the brownshirts in the Nazi party did also. but then the Nazi's where just communists that placed their nation before the socialist movement.

If the left continues on this path then we will have no recourse but to follow your lead, i think.

I’ve thought all along the attacks on Palin are meant to demoralize and defeat those who support her. The leftists are getting bolder, angrier, and more violent.

A nice woman who is a friend of our family said something snotty about Sarah Palin to us the other day. We said 4 words, “We like Sarah Palin.” She FLIPPED out. She’s in her 60’s, an otherwise nice lady. She FREAKED in the most angry way possible. Unhinged. It was ridiculous. The next day she apologized for acting like a lunatic. But that is how CRAZY the democrats have become. (She is a former teacher. That might explain some of her reaction. lol)

I think it demonstrates the power of the lamestream, entertainment media. Also, the fact that Sarah won’t stay down is driving them mad.

There's a difference though, between how conservatives and liberals carry out a boycott. Conservatives won't spend their money at a place they're boycotting. Liberals don't want anyone to spend their money at a place they're boycotting.

That sums up the difference between liberals and conservatives, in a nutshell. Conservative try to control what's in their sphere of control according to their values. Liberals try to control what's in your sphere of control according to their values.

They are really pushing the wrong kid around the schoolyard. If they persist in bringing this fight down to street level, God Himself won't help them. Their lasting legacy will be a grease spot on the tar.

Just stating fact.

It's more that I don't need the aggravation than anything. One of my neighbors was a regional nest for Obama's election campaign. I had every flavor of socialist pinko up and down my street for weeks - the collegiate skulls-of-mush, the grey-to-the-ankle hippies, the trendy Priusotes, the husband-and-other-husbands. None of them were from my state let alone my neighborhood. And they behaved like typical liberals - with contempt for everyone they meet.

Maybe it was a blessing to grow up in the age of Carter to be able to see these charlatans and fools for what they are.

The Nazi's used the same type of tactic to destroy dissent in the body politic. This is disgusting and must be fought at every level.

There is no room in America for this crap. They used the same tactic to shut up people that voted against gay marriage in CA.

Not for nothing but have you ever seen the vitriol against any freeper who doesn't support palin? One freeper wished that another freeper's family would die in a house fire and every week the palinites ping the boss trying to get some dissenter banned.

Yeah I had the same thing happen to me. So I just told them Obama was a freaking idiot and made Carter look good. Then they really freaked. It was like poking a monkey. when they calmed down I told them I thought Obama wasn't good enough to hold Palin’s coat and gloves. They lost it. I was laughing so hard they had to leave.

I have found laughing at them is a good way to shut them up. They are not used to be laugh at.

No I never seen any Palin supporter act in such a manner. I have seen many strongly defend Palin from lies, smears and sexist attacks the likes of which pissant post daily. I have never ever seen one call for violence nor for someone’s death. I would hope that person wasn't allowed to post again.

My family is that way. I told them I wanted Palin’s book last Christmas. I got Obama’s book.

I burnt the thing, which made for good kindling. I just don’t understand it.

If you don’t like Palin, fine, don’t get me that gift. But to get me Obama’s book instead.
