I am beyond upset at TSA. My wife had to fly out of the San Diego airport today due to a family emergency. They put her through the scanner and she was never given the option to opt out.
She didn't even realize that she was in the scanner until it was too late because they had the regular line roped off. They never asked her if she was willing to go through the virtual strip search.
Is it just me, or are the sheeple of this country just allowing this issue to die down? I'm all for security, but since it has been well-established that these new procedures have nothing to do with security (they're more about conditioning us to comply with the almighty federal government's directives without question or resistance), why are we just allowing these people to get away with usurping our civil liberties and Fourth Amendment protections?
Many evil things have been done in the name of "security." I believe we must not allow this issue to die down, and we must not allow our civil liberties to "go quietly into that good night". Thanks for letting me vent. It's not a matter of security to me; it's a matter of principle. The government never has owned my body, and they never will.

I haven't been in one since 2004.
From what FNC has reported, they’re now using new software that only shows a cartoonish outline of the subject’s body vs. the all-too-revealing x-ray image used previously.
However, your points are still valid.
Bump!
You are not alone.
You know, I agree 100% but Bush was the one that started this TSA. Once you give government the power, it can and will be abused.
Well, you can thank Islam for all that. And let’s not forget our pathetic government for subjecting all of us who are innocent to it, allthewhile ignoring hundreds of Muslims in line - lest they offend the poor dears!
The same thing happened to me in St. Louis... They will not give you an option: you must simply know to ask to opt out. Interestingly a few weeks ago in St. Louis I was in the first class/airline staff line and no one was being put through the naked body scanners in that line - only in cargo class.
He also needs to watch more Obama Tv where all of TV love Obama. He learn to love the daily brainwashing. The super bowl is coming soon. Life is good.
The pushback over the scanners has had some effect.

Believe me, if we didn’t have to fly, we wouldn’t.
I am a firm believer in capitalism. I have been telling my son that in a capitalistic system, the best way to cast your vote is with your dollars.
I used to love to travel, but no more. I will never fly again unless there is no other option. I will send my message through the airlines, rental car companies, hotels, tourism sites, etc., by not patronizing their businesses. When enough people do that, they will confront the TSA about their heavy-handed and (I believe) unconctitutional tactics.
Did they post her pics on the web yet? ;-)
The immunity granted the airlines after 9-11 was the first major step toward removing your power in the market. We are being group groped by choice.
Oops! “unconctitutional” = “unconstitutional”.
Worst nightmare. I wouldn’t be surprised.
Right! We can’t profile, can we (even though it is a proven, effective tactic)?
at O’hare, the other option is a pat-down.
The sad answer to your question...
Thats right, it was Bush and a liberal Congress who manufactured this mess. Credit where credit is due. His father was just as worthless. More Big Tent in action.
Only foreigners entering this country should face the porn scanners.
