Yeah, at Sav-a-Lot they replaced the 5 pound bags of sugar with 64oz bags of sugar. I didn’t notice the price dropping 20%.
Well the added benefit is a reduction in consumption of calories.
We eat too much anyway. /S
They started this YEARS ago with 13 oz coffee tins in place of 1 lb...
My Yuban Coffee was 44oz. and it’s now 33oz. AND the price rose by $2.00. The government elites might fool themselves, but every shopper knows the truth about inflation.
I’ve noticed... especially with ice cream. The containers are much smaller and sale prices use to be two for five dollars and maybe they are now two for six dollars. I’ve also seen pasta 12 oz. instead of 16 oz (1 lb). Spaghetti sauce is also smaller. Just a thought
My wife brought home 3oz cups of yogurt last week. I told her Karen Carpenter and Annie Rexia don't eat at our house! I mean who the hell eats a 3oz cup of yogurt? That's three tablespoons!
If they shrink some of the cereal boxes any more, they’ll be the size of the individual package. Wendy’s has been doing this too for a long time with their sandwiches.
I ordered this action: It's for your own good.
The last time I went shopping I noticed a couple of items had changed from 16 oz to 14. I have been sitting here trying to think of what they were but have a mental block.
yeah, heard Walmart started the universal shrinking of goods forcing the lower payments. That’s how they make 29million an hour.
We like del monte fruit naturals. The container went from 8 oz to 7 but the price stayed the same. Same thing with ice cream. Our local store brags that its carton has 1.75 qt when all the big names are just 1.5. Of course 2 qt used to be the standard.
The downsizing of paper towels was annoying because we have a wall mounted holder. The slight decrease in size caused them to keep falling off the towel holder, which was designed for the old size.
Besides the inflated prices it is actually a headache for recipes now you have to buy 2 of something because of it or use less and alter the taste if you can do that, some things don’t turn out right if you try to skimp. Thanks a lot banana ben bernanke.
Ah, that is just an illusion.
Just for fun, check out the width of toilet paper. My hubby said that something is wrong with this roll. The roll had as many sheets but was not as wide as usual.
Even blog excerpts are getting shorter.
Even worse, stealth inflation !
Okay, seriously?? You lifted your blog word-for-word from this blog!

Wait...you mean you can’t print prosperity?
I was noticing last summer.
Been keeping an eye out for when more size decrease/price increases hits, buying what I can store NOW. Been doing that for awhile.
