I can remember back to the 70’s when I first went to work in the computer industry and the government offered tax incentives to hardware and software companies for investments in research and development, even for just putting people to work writing software. And boy did it ever produce a boom. The computer industry took off like a rocket, as did a lot of other high tech industries, including the rockets. Now, rather than rewarding success, the government just regulates it, exports it (jobs), or taxes it to death. A lot has changed in the last 40 years. Boom to bust.

Someone has written about how Soetoro talks in different styles to different audiences. When he’s among “equals”—to the extent that the Messiah CAN have “equals”—he talks in grown-up, technocrat jargon. When he is talking to the Great Unwashed, ESPECIALLY black audiences (for whom he seems to have the greatest contempt), he uses the word “folks” constantly, and says things like “invent stuff.”
