Here's a little short fiction I scribbled yesterday. My 4th novel should be out in a few months.

As with all good stories, this has a hint of truth in it. Evil men throughout history have sought out the mentally deranged to do their dirty work.

That’s excellent! You should think about expanding that into a short story or novel when you’re done with your current project.

Thanks for that! I'm still working my way through EF&D . . . I have WAY too many oars in the water! Looking forward to reading the rest of them when I finish this one.
Keep up the good work!

Well done. I’m relieved that I’m not the only FReeper thinking along those lines. I suspected as much, but you’ve confirmed it.

The beginning of this reminds me a little of the movie “The Last Supper” with Cameron Diaz and Ron Perlman. Loved the plot twist at the end of that movie. Book sounds very intruiging.

"Who truly knows our inner hearts, our souls if you will? No one. Certainly not a God who doesnt exist." Certainly not a god who doesn't exist. But The God who does exist knows you better than you'll ever be honest or intelligent enough to know yourself. Moreover, He wrote a book about you. It explains everything about you that even you cannot come to grips with, "Professor X."
Paraphrasing Jodi Foster as FBI Agent Starling speaking to the character of Hannibal Lechter in the epic thriller, "The Silence Of The Lambs," "Do you have the guts to turn that brilliant deductive insight you have into others aound, and do an honest evaluation of what makes you tick?"
These armchair psychologists who waste their and our time proferring self-congratulatory dignoses of those around them because it is far more convenient and comfortable than it would be to examine, and diagnose, themselves... leave me less than impressed. Anybody can concoct such a fable and deliver it in the hushed tones which imply that it is something to be revered and cherished by those blessed enough to be chosen by this narrator to receive his precious gift.
Excuse me while I puke. Absent an acknowledgment of the God who created you for an actual purpose, your life is wasted garbage. Your opinions and insights fecal. Go bother someone else... maybe they'll throw a quarter in your tin cup, as they might for any other performing monkey.
"Professor X."

In a way, your guy reminds me of Abner Doon from Card’s Worthing stories, in that he tries to bring chaos from an existing order without being ideologically motivated. Doon did it because he thought society was becoming sterile and needed a new kickstart to remake itself, this guy just because he craves to be a historical figure and to avoid being just one of the “insects”. Essentially a self-centered turd.

Ouch. Sorry about that, Chief. As soon as your arch-villain dismissed The Big "G," I dismissed him. Just re-read it in it's entirety. Quite a skill you've got there, not to mention a riveting plotline. Let us know when it's in print, I'll buy one. The wife and I read 10-15 novels a week in this very genre (Ludlum, Clancy, Parker, Cromwell, etc.).

You're going to piss off a Liberal if you keep using that unneccesarily violent, though evocatively descriptive, terminology. Nice!
