Glenn Beck criticizes Tucson memorial, compares it to Wellstone memorial debacle

Glenn Beck criticizes Tucson memorial, compares it to Paul Wellstone memorial debacle. A day after the Barack Obama-attended Tucson memorial for the victims of the Jared Loughner killing spree, Glenn Beck has nothing kind to say about the raucous crowd that seemed to think it was at, as Beck put it, a high school pep rally. Beck went on to address the inappropriate and zany behavior of the memorial crowd, comparing them to what occurred at the late Senator Paul Wellstone’s memorial more than eight years ago. At that memorial, opportunistic and exploitative Democrats used what was supposed to be a memorial for the late senator to fire up their voter base and make politically charged talking points, all in the hopes of winning the election for the late senator’s seat (which they eventually lost to Norm Coleman).

A question as I am boycotting FNC.

Did Glenn do this on his radio program or his TV show?

Thanks much.

I am boycotting FNC.

You cancelled it? Or just not watching? If the latter, that's not a boycott, and they don't care.

Glen is correct, this was nothing more than the Kick Off to the 2012 Obam Reelection Campaign. A shameful abuse of the families and misuse of the tragedy.

Typical liberal behavior. I think the real story will be the “Together we thrive” slogan and the fact that its in been in use by they usual organizing for Obama crowds for a while.

Also how did a new company (called Youth Movement) with 11 to 50 employees pull off the logistical nightmare of printing some 50,000 t-shirts, bumper stickers etc, in a matter of 3 days?

This was Obama climbing a pile of coffins to appear presidential.

Didn’t. See the TV show, but he did talk about this on radio yesterday.

Something I found interesting isnthat at the end of the service, they had a moment of silence. When it was announced the audience stood. Yet the Obamas stayed seated, and so did the three rows of important persons seated with them.

Imsee the moment of silence as a moment of prayer for the faithful. I wonder why nobody in those three rows stood?

"This was Obama climbing a pile of coffins to appear presidential."

I'm officially commandeering this line. I will use it shamelessly in the conservative Blogs which I write for. I will not give the proper attributions (cripplecreek?), but I will be clear that the line did not originate with me.

Nobody will believe it.

Coffineering = mountaineering?

Glenn Sarah and Rush all gave Obama higher marks on his speech than I would but I suspect it was a matter of taking the high road.

When Reagan did his speech it was appropriate. US astronauts died in a very public event. He had to say something. There was no choice in the matter.

This is getting disgusting, like ambulance chasing to get a speech in and spin the national dialog.

Coffin Climbing. Perfect description.

I’m in the printing business that does t-shirts etc.

It usually takes at least a working week—5-7 days:

1) create a pdf file with the design,
2) the design onto a printing press
3) manufacture that many t-shirts along with the bumper stickers
4) pack and ship

It can be done in shorter time but one would have to pay a huge fee to get it done that quick.

Most likely, this slogan along with the shirts were already done, sitting in a warehouse and the left just waited for the right opportunity to use them.

There is no way to cancel one particular program from the cable company, unless you know something I don’t know.

Time Warner decides what’s on my schedule and I decide what to watch.

I watched the TV show. Beck praised Obama for his call to unify, but said the crowd’s reaction was not appropriate
