What public records exist that can even demonstrate that Mrs. Obama was even at Kapi’Olani on the day of Barack’s birth? Talk at Kapi`Olani, would have been unabashed, the city of Honolulu at the time very racist towards black people.

I was giving the quote “Mother had been refused entry to airplanes due to her 9 month pregnancy” the benefit of the doubt by assuming that they refused her attempt to leave rather than to enter Kenya. Obviously, if she had been refused entry at 9 months, she couldn’t have given birth there. But I do oh-so love bending over backwards to humor the birthers.

Because the answer is self-evident to most people who understand the adversarial nature of politics?
Many birthers want to remove him from office and/or seen him in jail. When he is under no legal obligation to provide the information birthers are demanding, why would would he voluntarily comply with his sworn political enemies?
Birthers only real hope at this point is finding a sympathetic congressman...good luck.
Exactly. I think anyone who was in Hawaii, lived near obama, went to school with obama, crossed paths with obama or his mother... Someone - ANYONE - would remember SOMETHING and come forth for their 5 mintues of fame and a quick buck! Where are all granny's friends? Co-workers?

One point that that doesn’t get much attention came to light in the LTC Lakin trial. Namely, the judge said the revelation of Obama’s BC’s would cause him “embarrassment”. What a bizarre comment for a judge to make. How on earth could a normal, legal and copacetic BC cause ‘Little Barry’ [to borrow his good friend Abercrombie’s nomenclature] the least ‘embarrassment’?
More to the point, if Obama needs to keep this type of secret(s) from those who pay his bills and finance his lavish lifestyle, to what length will he go to do it? What if, for example, Putin and/or Soros already know all about this ‘embarrassing’ fact (or facts)? Are one or both of them using the info to blackmail Obama? It is simply the case that most of what Obama has done has benefited foreign powers and hurt the US [witness his oil/drilling policy, for example]. Is he doing that just because he hates the US and wants to get even with us, or is someone pulling his strings?
When a POTUS is allowed and even encouraged to keep secrets—secrets it’s worth millions, at a minimum, to him to defend—it is entirely reasonable to speculate on who may already know about them, and to what use they are putting that knowledge.

Plus if I was that medical personnal I could remember if I was working in a hospital around August 1961....
if so, Id be searching my memory to try and see if there was ever a BLACK baby born in the hospital while I worked there...

and she doesnt show up again until Oct 1961 in Washington state...
and there are no records from any hospital, doctor etc..
and certainly no nosy neighbors or medical personal coming forward...
My argument is not that Obama is foreign born. I said that nowhere. I think he may well have been born here. Or not. I am even open to the possibility he meets all constitutional eligibility requirements. Or not. Yet all that would not have the slightest effect on my opinion that he is more alien to the office he holds and the American institutions and ideals he alleges to support than any foreign interlopers the Founders ever sought to proscribe. Thus my opposition to him, permanently grounded as it is in his pathological leftist ideology, will remain unaffected by any future discoveries concerning his birthplace.
My comment on Obama's missing nativity narrative is simply an observation of fact, based on history and social patterns that are well known, and indeed are frequently used to discredit bits and pieces of fairy stories that sometimes emerge with the passage of time. If you are unfamiliar with that manner of historical analysis, so be it. Nevertheless, even in less "chatty" cultures such as ours, oral traditions function as history and do survive for many generations. You no doubt have, as I do, dozens of instances from your own family where the retelling of unusual occurrences became a routine part of family gatherings.
Oral tradition is even more prevalent in cultures where it is the primary means of transmitting cultural memory, as is the case here. Obama's story would be significant, not in anticipation of something significant Obama would later do (a red herring argument if ever there was one), but because the event in itself was culturally significant at the time it happened, and thus warranted remembering through storytelling.
That is why our author is rightly implying oddity that the story is missing. Compare this with the nativity stories of Washington, Lincoln, Kennedy, Reagan, etc. The principle carriers of the stories are not the birth records but the people surrounding the event, who were able to release that memory to the public domain once the significance of the individual was realized.
No, there is something odd here, something missing, and it cannot be dismissed by the abandonment of logic or traditional methods of historical discovery. Oral tradition is important, and at present is no friend of the President's official narrative.

Many birthers may indeed want to remove him from office, but I think MOST want the Constitution abided by and want to know the truth so that we can prevent this from happening in the future. You got a problem with that?
The anti birthers get rabid about trying to shut down any discussion of his probable ineligibility but they never get into a discussion about any of obama’s other life records that are under lock and key.

I think the most appalling thing about the anti-birthers is that they assume because, with the help of the knee-pad MSM and the over-the-top-nasty, cheating, lying Dems, Obama is able to keep his secrets from the people who pay ALL his bills, he’s also able to keep them from powerful foreign interests. Where is the evidence of that??? Everything Obama does helps Soros or Putin or the Saudis-and-friends. Is this is a mere coincidence? Odds are overwhelmingly ‘B’. The only possible reason this would not occur to or worry the Obots is if their patriotism is of a similar type and quality as Obama’s.
Where are you getting the information about the Hawaiian Birth Index? If that’s the index for Certificates of Hawaiian Birth, that’s different than the Index of Foreign Births. The HDOH claimed to me that they don’t have any handwritten Index of Foreign Births, and if they have a computerized version they are refusing to show it to anybody.
A COHB was supposed to only be issued if the lieutenant governor was convinced that there was enough evidence according to evidentiary standards for a Hawaii birth to be considered substantiated. Depending on the lt gov, that could mean the record actually meant something, or it could have been given out to anybody. Depends on how corrupt the official was.

I had seen somewhere, although I could be wrong, that in addition to the Index there were additional lists, UNRELEASED, or an additional index, listing 1,000 births outside hawaii that were later issued something like a COLB, and also that there were hundreds of disputed births.
But more importantly,
Do you agree with what I have read here on FR, that the Hawaiian Index of Births from 1917 to 1972 DOES NOT list Obama??

“Invented” memories would be easy to verify and discount: such as the schoolteacher who “remembered” a conversation wth an OB/GYN that she claimed was the one who had delivered Obama. He had recently passed away (how convenient!) so couldn’t confirm (or deny) the story. Unfortunately, upon further research, the good doctor had evidently quit delivering babies several years BEFORE Obama’s birth. Oops!
I totally agree that Obama’s loyalty lies with Alinsky, Marxism and anyone who shares his anti-American views. However, Obama would like to be reelected in 2012. Imho, he would not now be TOTALLY wrecking the US economy of his own free will in light of that fact. He’s done enough damage for one term; if he were a free agent, he’d be doing one or two things to help us limp along economically until 2012 [opening up some drilling, for example].
Plenty of time, iow, to finish destroying the US after 2012, IF he makes it back in. As it stands, he is sending the US economy into the toilet-of-no-return, and I don’t see how that gets him back into AF1 in 2012.
