Why Fox is news and CNN is not
the Charleston Daily Mail ^ | January 10, 2011 | don surber

Democratic Sheriff Clarence Dupnik went on CNN on Saturday and blamed everyone but Jared Lee Loughner for Jared Lee Loughner’s shooting of 21 people, including Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords.

CNN did not challenge Dupnik...

Dupnik knew at the time that Loughner’s obsession with Giffords went back to 2007...

Then he made the mistake of going on Fox News.

Megyn Kelly challenged him.

He lost.

Megyn Kelly challenged him.

She kicked his ass ... but in a nice way. She told him to go to hell so sweetly, I think he looked forward to the trip.

Kelly doesn’t let many get away with their psychobabble on her show. Billy might have his “No Spin Zone” but Kelly has her “You’re Not Going To BS Me Zone”.

It’s starting to dribble out regarding Gupnik’s relationship with the Loughners and young Jared’s repeated death threats and drug arrests and how they were repeatedly “fixed” with no charges being filed.

We know he has already lawyered up and is no doubt hoping that making himself a Liberal drawing-room lion will get him immunity. That did not work for Mike Nifong or for that matter, former IL governor-now-jailbird George Ryan (the overnight anti-death-penalty activist governor).

He had already decided just last year to make himself the anti-Joe Arpaio (loudly refusing to enforce S.B.1070). He may be the lib hero of the hour but the truth will out.

There is a lot of fire there. That’s why I like to watch her show. She believes what she believes and won’t back down.

He has had his 15 minutes. As soon as the dust settles, expect him to retire. “Spend more time with the family...write a book...” Doo dah, doo dah...

Missing from the interviews with Sheriff Dubiousnik: Why was Loughner never charged after his first or second drug arrests?

Loughner’s mother works for the Pima County Board of Supervisors. What political relationship do you, Sheriff of Pima County have with the suspect’s mother?

Was there any pressure not to prosecute?

Pima County Sheriff Dupnik has yet to take responsibility for his part in the killings. Dupnik needs to be reminded that he was elected to be a lawman. Dupnik is just one more example of a person who is supposed to be impartial, but is seduced by partisan/ideological biases.

(1) Why was Loughner never charged after his first or second drug arrests?

(2) News reports say at least five calls about Loughner were made to Pima County L/E BEFORE the shootings;

(3) Was there any pressure not to prosecute?

(4) What personal/political relationship does Pima County Sheriff Dupnik have with the suspect’s mother? Loughner’s mother works for the Pima County Board of Supervisors.

In the same interview, Dupnik stated that this would have never happened when he was a young patrolman back in the 60’s, when everyone was civil. Megyn Kelly than asked him if he ever heard of Lee Harvey Oswald, Sirhan Sirhan and James Earl Ray. Dupnik could not answer, and just stood silently.

I dont think it has come out yet...

But either the family are highly placed Democrats in the district

and/or they were hugely responsible for electing the sheriff

or the Loughners are related to the sheriff...(his sisters boy kinds thing)

or one or more of the Loughners just might happen to have the goods on the sheriff...

or lots of money changed hands

Good-—he needs to answer a lot of questions as to why he did nothing while this kook was running around threatening people.
