Video: Journalists group member wants words "illegal immigrant" banned. Yesterday on Fox and Friends, a member of the Society of Professional Journalists was interviewed about his ideological insistence to remove the words "illegal immigrant" from all news stories. Leo Laurence is a member of SPJ’s diversity committee, which promotes a bigger presence for minorities. Being a member of SPJ’s diversity committee also makes Laurence an advocate for illegal immigrants by his endorsement of a term that hides the illegality in their presence in the US. Instead of the words "illegal immigrant," Laurence wants all journalists to use the phrase "undocumented immigrant," which implies that their status is not illegal.

Methinks the phrase “Professional Journalists” is incorrect, in that the primary purpose of journalism is to promote the truth by means of accurate reporting. Words mean something. The word “illegal” is more descriptive/accurate than “undocumented” and therefore more appropriate. Even we un-enlightened engineers understand the importance of precise language. Recommend that the self-styled “SPJ” ask their lawyers if sloppy language is acceptable in court.

Last night Brit Hume discussed the republican plan to vote on repealing OBAMACARE. He used the word OBAMACARE many times during the segment. Made me smile.....BIG TIME!!!

How many people from India and Pakistan are here illegally ? I bet it’s a very small %. They come to America after they receive a working visa and become part of the melting pot. Why should anyone south of our border be even considered to be allowed to enter our country without legal right? Why do we have to spend money to transport them back to their country of origin? To me they are invaders and as such should be treated as such
