I don’t blame her. I can’t believe they put a rape victim on lockdown.
Time for TSA and DHS to be eliminated. We do not need them.
I’d like to see the airport security video...
I know it’s Christmas, I understand(to some degree) the TSA has a job to do but my question is this: In a nation where gun ownership is a right, why do we put up with this?
I refuse to ever get on an aircraft or for that matter visit an airport as long as the TSA is in charge of Security. Not only are they inept they are also violating the civil rights of every American who plans on boarding a plane,While at the same time refusing to search known potential terrorist candidates.
It just attacks everyone but America's Enemies.
Use the simple approach. Don't like it, don't fly.

I guess it comes down to whether people believe that individuality has no meaning, that freedom dignity and self determination are irrelevant. I am not sure that I am willing to concede that point. Some people like this lady refuse to just go along.
We are way too quick to trade liberty for a false sense of security in this country. Our founding fathers would be appalled at the nanny security state we have become
The key to success is not inconveniencing and violating people privacy/perceived freedoms (right or wrong, perceptions are hard to argue).
The tsa has likely not accomplished much with their x-ray machines or enhanced pat downs, but the damage done to law enforcement the fuse of fighting or preventing terrorism is real.
This is one of those cases where executive management should have said, “yes this is theoretically technologically possible, it could possibly accomplish something, somewhere, somehow, likely through more of a deterrent effect that actually catching a real bad actor, but the damage we will do to our reputation, the law enforcement community at large and the decay caused in public support does not justify these intrusive measures.”
The tsa did no one a favor with this. But I'm sure it briefed well on power point.
Uh, this headline is misleading. It was 3 Austin PD officers, not TSA.
Our side is supposed to be the one that relies on facts.
Let’s just pretend for a moment that I’m a fanatical muslim extremist intent on blowing up and killing 100 or so infidels as well as myself.
Why should I bother with blowing up an airplane? Why can’t I just wait in an airport security queue like the one shown in this news story and detonate myself while standing in the middle of the lines? Wouldn’t it accomplish the same thing, plus have the added benefit of a huge mess at the airport for everyone to see?
Muslims blow themselves up all over Iraq and other countries without needing to be in an airplane to do it. Just seems to me like we are making it easier, not harder for them when we all huddle together in a security line.
Where is the Americans with Disabilities Act? Disabled people, those with prostheses, metal joints, plates and pins, wheel chairs and other medically necessary items are being specifically targeted, apparently as being more likely to be terrorists than any other group.
