Just for fun, how about we stump each other with exotic or unusual airplane photos. Upload to Tinypic so no one can cheat by looking at the image source.
I'll go first. What is this aircraft?

That is a water cooled (Merlin?) version of the P-47 Lightning.

It's the plane that Boehner told Pelosi she would have to use from now on.

I’m going to say “Swamp gas”, but the picture is a little blurry, so it might be “Ball lighting” instead.

Nope. First of all, the P-39 was not a taildragger.

I know planes pretty well but that one has me stumped. It is obviously a WWII plane. Sort of looks like a cross between a Spitfire and a U.S. Navy Avenger.

That is an inline engine version of the P-47 Thunderbolt designated the XP-47H. It was a variant using a 16 cylinder Allison engine.

An XP-47H it is. A 2300 hp V-16 water cooled Chrysler engine (the first Hemi that Chrysler ever made, in fact), mated to the P-47 airframe. The bulge under the fuselage is the enormous radiator.
Too easy apparently.
