. . . . .
In case you missed it...
This week's Surfin' Safari column leads with "Airport Security - the new Checkpoint Charlie?" - the TSA controversy and how the Internet is being used to communicate, coordinate, and report on controversial airport security measures.
I also tell you about how the government is clamping down on the information superhighway via Net Neutrality and COICA, the Senate's attempt to confer complete authority to the Attorney General Eric Holder to shut down websites for the flimsiest of reasons.
Below the fold, you'll find "Qwik Picks", links that take you to interesting and offbeat places on the www.
And as always, be sure to scroll all the way to guess our actor and movie of the week. If you guess correctly, your name could be in next week's Surfin' Safari!
Find it all at World Net Daily on the Diversions page where we post a new Surfin' Safari every Monday evening. And if you missed this week's? Here it is.
The only thing I hate more than a blog pimp is a blog pimp who uses a vague title to get people to click on her garbage. At least your blog won’t get a hit out of this.
I believe the technically correct term in this case would be, "blog madame."
At least this is not in the “news/activism” forum. If this were there, you’d have a legitimate accusation of blog pimping.

The “bloggers/personal” forum is FR’s “red light district” - and was established for the very reason to allow for blog-pimping.
Don’t read this forum if “blog-pimping” bothers you.
I stand corrected. :)
It’s in Bloggers & Personal
Hi Artemis,
I wasn’t “pimping” this for a hit to my blog. It was for anyone who might be interested in reading a concise compendium of trends on the internet. I put a lot of time combing the internet for interesting items, and more importantly, keeping my readers up to date with what the Congress and Obamaniacs are doing to clamp down on our internet freedom (i.e. First Amendment freedom of speech).
I’m attempting to broaden my readership because the content I provide is important.
You needn’t click over if you don’t care to.

Again, this is in the Bloggers forum. If you have a problem with bloggers, I suggest you avoid reading posts in that section. No one is forcing you to click there.
So how does one tell from the main page of the forum that this is in bloggers and personal? Where exactly does it say that here?:

Please note I did not click on the link to the blog contained within the post.
Oh and patriotgal1787 you can be very assured that I would not click on your blog if you were giving away $100 bills and free beer.

There are two ways... when you click on a link off the main forum page, look to the upper right corner of your browser window - it will say what forum you’re in... and the URL for the post will end with... f-bloggers/#######/posts
The easiest way is to hover over the link and look at the microhelp that should appear in the status bar of your browser. It will look something like http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-bloggers/2633395/posts where the 3rd node indicates the forum, in this case f-bloggers
Have you tried a good laxative with stool softener?
