My fellow Americans in all 57 states, the time has changed for come. With our country founded more than 20 centuries ago, we have much to celebrate from the FBIs 100 days to the reforms that bring greater inefficiencies to our health care system. We know that countries like Europe are willing to stand with us in our fight to halt the rise of privacy, and Israel is a strong friend of Israels. And lets face it, everybody knows that it makes no sense that you send a kid to the emergency room for a treatable illness like asthma and they end up taking up a hospital bed. It costs, when, if you, they just gave, you gave them treatment early, and they got some treatment, and ah, a breathalyzer, or an inhalator. I mean, not a breathalyzer, ah, I dont know what the term is in Austrian for that
Of course, the paragraph above is based on a series of misstatements and verbal gaffes made by Barack Obama (I didnt have enough time to do one for Joe Biden). YouTube links are provided just in case you doubt the accuracy of these all too human slips-of-the-tongue. If you cant remember hearing about them, thats because for the most part the media didnt consider them newsworthy. I have no complaint about that. Everybody makes the occasional verbal gaffe even news anchors.
Obviously, I would have been even more impressed if the media showed some consistency on this issue. Unfortunately, it seems they couldnt resist the temptation to turn a simple one word slip-of-the-tongue of mine into a major political headline. The one word slip occurred yesterday during one of my seven back-to-back interviews wherein I was privileged to speak to the American public about the important, world-changing issues before us.
If the media had bothered to actually listen to all of my remarks on Glenn Becks radio show, they would have noticed that I refer to South Korea as our ally throughout, that I corrected myself seconds after my slip-of-the-tongue, and that I made it abundantly clear that pressure should be put on China to restrict energy exports to the North Korean regime. The media could even have done due diligence and checked my previous statements on the subject, which have always been consistent, and in fact even ahead of the curve. But why let the facts get in the way of a good story? (And for that matter, why not just make up stories out of thin air like the totally false hard news story which has run for three days now reporting that I lobbied the producers of Dancing with the Stars to cast a former Senate candidate on their show. That lie is further clear proof that the media completely makes things up without doing even rudimentary fact-checking.)
Hope springs eternal as the poet says. Lets hope that perhaps, just maybe, they might get it right next time. When we the people are effective in holding Americas free press accountable for responsible and truthful reporting, then we shall all have even more to be thankful for!
Happy Thanksgiving, everyone!
- Sarah Palin
.
Thanks for posting this.
“...BETTER THAN ZERO!”
Was any of this from Biden? I thought it was all from the “anointed one” and professional “news anchors.” It would take more than one Facebook posting to deal with Biden’s gaffes!
The utimatew a**h**e take on a brilliant put down!
Palin just earned a great big point from this Iowa Republican. I love the way she showed them she’s not going to take their crap.
Great Post! You raised the tenor.
She has undertaken a revolution against the power of the elites and their pet press. She just burned down their headquarters and is pursuing the stragglers.
“The new media gave us McCain”
Did I say that? Stupid of me. I meant (of course) the MSM.
They still have a LOT of power.
One gaff that I believe is not accurately being reported on is Zero's 57 states comment, I believe it is actually 58 states.
Zero says “ ...I have been in 57 states..with one more to go.”
Last time I checked, 57+1=58..
Beautiful.
Paging earljam- look and learn.
Not making GWB's mistake.
Our Sarah strikes again!
Luv that Gov!!!!
“She just turned this into a kick in the stones to the press wile highlighting how dumb Obama really is.”
Agree!! Certainly a great comeback.
BTTT!
OH MY GOSH!
Too busy with my turkey yesterday and missed this one!
I love it! BRILLIANT!
I didn’t post on this thread, however...
Sarah Palin had no business making a statement on North Korea vs. South Korea.
Have you heard the maxim, “Loose lips sink ships?”
I think it is a good one and vital on matters of national security.
Mrs. Palin does not hold a position in the current administration. In fact, she doesn’t hold any government position at all. She QUIT the office to which she was elected by the people of Alaska.
She only speaks for herself, but she DOES get too much publicity for it and needs to be careful what she says.
It is the job of the current administration, the President and the SECSTATE, other top national security advisors to make official statements about matters of grave importance such as North Korea vs. South Korea. They are handling it. It is impudent of someone as irrelevant as Palin to try to upstage and disrupt those who hold high office. She kind of reminds me of Code Pink when she does this stuff.
She doesn’t want to be another Jane Fonda or Tokyo Rose, does she?
And, SoConPubbie, you need to think twice about treating others on forum abusively when they have not been speaking to YOU at all. And se ohio young conservative, you are simply ridiculous.
Too bad for you guys there will always be thinking people in this country and on this forum as long as it exists.
Hmmm, something tells me you might light off a few responses. We shall see.
As to your point, I tend to agree - just because the Dems don’t mind being treasonous, doesn’t mean we have to play at their level (be it Romney, DeMint, or anyone else commenting, at this stage). If Obama was totally out to lunch, that might be different - but he sending a carrier right off the coast of NK, it’s hard to ask for more, at this time at least.
