Huckabee: Palin “May Run Away With It”

Mike Huckabee was in Iowa today for an event with an Iowa social conservative group that he made clear was a political event. In numerous statements, he has implied as strong as he is can that he is gearing up for another run at the White House in 2012. He even sent a “secret” signal to his supporters by wearing a purple tie. An inside joke among his devotes is that wearing a purple tie is a signal that he is likely running in 2012.

In his meeting with reporters, he indicated that he certainly takes a potential challenge from Sarah Palin seriously. From the Des Moines Register blog…

“No question, she will be a very, very strong presence and force, if she gets in,” Huckabee told reporters in Des Moines Sunday. “You know, she may run away with it. And that’s one of those things everyone needs to be prepared for.”

“If I get in, I prefer she not and that she endorse me,” Huckabee then joked.

Palin will be in Little Rock for her book tour on Tuesday, November 30 at 5:30 pm at Sam’s. No word if she will meet with the press but this might be something to ask her about.

I am not so sure about Palin...she’ll be brutally beaten especially if Hitlery gains the nomination....you know how tricky and devious the rats are....they’ll pull this out and then we’ll have Hitlery for 8 yrs.(but isn’t she getting old?...don’t these people get tragic diseases like regular people?)

Yes, in 1980 conservatives weren't nearly as well organized, there was no Internet to refute MSM and no Tea Party.

Sarah is an outspoken Evangelical Christian herself. She does a better job of appealing to that demographic than Huck because she walks the walk and not just talks the talk. For that matter she appeals to the Mormon demographic better than Mitt and for the same reason.

As for getting more than 10% or 12% of the black demographic, it ain't going to happen even if she picks a conservative black. Just look at the plantation mentality view of well-qualified conservative blacks like Thomas Sowell, Clarence Thomas, Walter Williams and Herman Cain, just to throw out four examples.

Conservatism is timeless and the last election proved that. The voters said no to dumbsh!t and his commie policies and the TEA party is in the process of cleaning out the sh!t between the ears of the republicans.Hide and watch

So, you think Sarah Palin’s a “dunce”? That’s rich. And totally without merit.

Your smarmy little insult bears no resemblance to reality. You might just as well call Thomas Edison a back yard tinkerer. That’s about as accurate as what you said.

Me thinks you have been spending too much time watching that piece of crap show. Read today that TLC Sarah Palin’s Alaska show has been their most watched show ever! Damn near everything she touches is “golden”.

The Tea Party should have an unofficial runoff of conservatives, so everyone can get behind the strongest conservative before the GOP dog and pony show fires up.

Heck,Onyx, she is a serial offender, a three strikes and you’re out type, who hits every Palin thread. She called me sexist, but look at her tag line:

“Never let a hot cheerleader play quarterback”

I try not to make arguments and then refute them in the same post. HN does not see any contradiction in doing so.

So far, every time that stratagey has been applied to her, she’s come right back at them with full force and has only gotten stronger.

What the definition of insanity again?

I’m not surprised a union member was part of said conversation. Those people are idiots.

If Palin chose a conservative black man as he rVP running mate, the blacks would abandon Obastard in droves.

Don't bet on it. Black conservatives and Republicans are mostly reviled as "house Negroes" or "Uncle Toms" by blacks.

Any black person who escapes the liberal mind-control plantation is branded as a "race traitor". Ask me how I know.

I can’t find a logical reason in my mind. I have tried. I have thought it over and out. I have tried to see it from every angle possible. and I can’t find a reason why someone could hate Sarah Palin. What did she do to them ?

Not a damn thing. But that's not my point. The world we live in now is media driven like never before, and that means the internet, the TV, the iPhone, etc. People actually think that a Comedy Central fake news program (The Daily Show) is real news! They believe that if Oprah says it's so, then it's so. The day after Sarah wins the nomination, they will trot out Tina Fey, and every news organization short of FNC will be campaigning against her 24 by 7.

Know this about me...I never talk negatively about Sarah in mixed political company. We, in conservative circles, should be able to handle the discussion without having to resort to name-calling. If she throws her hat in the ring, and there is not a better candidate(so far there are none on the horizon), then I will support her 100%.
Can she win? Personally I doubt it, but a lot can happen between now and November 2012! I'll be very happy to be wrong on this subject.

Seeing how there is no real conservative movement here in Canada not very much. Just commenting I read one of Mr. Sowell’s books years ago.
