Barbara Bush tells Palin to stay home in Alaska instead of running for president

Barbara Bush tells Palin to stay home in Alaska instead of running for president. In comments aired by CNN as part of a teaser of a new Larry King interview that is slated to be aired this coming Monday, Barbara Bush can be watched making quite the derogatory statement about her impression of Palin’s ability to become president in 2012. Instead of giving her opinion on Palin’s chances of winning against Obama, Bush basically tells her to stay home in Alaska! Making matters worse is her husband, George H. W. Bush, who also goes on the record to say that he doesn’t know what the Tea Party movement is all about and even questions its ability to fit into the broader political scene? Seriously?! Maybe instead of skydiving on his birthday, the former president should get a clue on the organic groundswell that is the Tea Party. The Bushes’ comments clearly represent the elite, Republican establishment viewpoint towards Palin and the Tea Party.

Give him time. Eventually he’ll be amazed by it, just like he was with supermarket scanners.

Time has passed them by.

They are both yesterday’s news.

Older Americans gain wisdom as they grow older, then their mental capacity goes away and takes that wisdom with it.

George sounded like a doddering old fool and Barbara a bitter hag.It is time they stayed home, and pass on interviews.

Both Bushes gave us clinton and obama- they’ve done enough damage to America. Let them fade into the woodwork.

Yeah I know I am going to get blasted for this, but the women is entitled to an opinion.

We don't have to agree with it, but our job is not to silence oppositon, it is to defeat it in the area of ideas.

Show that Palin had more experience than Obozo in executive positions.

Demonstrate that her ideas make sense fiscally and socially

Demonstrate that Mrs. Bush's ideas are misguided.

We are conservatives we don't sink to the level of our opposition, we domonstratre that they are wrong with better arguements not persoanl attacks.

Are we sure Barbara didn’t mean that it would be so much more peaceful to stay in Alaska instead of the headaches of Washington? She has spent time there so maybe she thinks Sara could save herself a lot of headaches and just enjoy life in Alaska with family.

Having read a bit more of the transcript, that is not exactly what Papa Bush said about the tea party.

Exactly. Sorry, Jeb. We have had enough Bushes, “compassionate RINO-ism”, and reaching across the aisle to compromise with communists. NO THANKS.

She, and her “ilk,” are EXACTLY what the great unwashed (you know...US) the rest of the planet believes Republican’s are. Barbara Bush is no asset to us; she reinforces a stereotype.

When the left claims that Republicans are the party of the rich and privileged, although we conservatives try to plead our case.....we get no where because of people like BB.

The left doesn’t understand that we are battling these has-been, blue blood Republicans, just as they are.
